We occasionally recognize important "real life" events on here -- the sad passing of Leonard Nimoy, for example -- with corresponding Subeta events, like free gifts, etc.
Today's decision in Obergefell vs. Hodges surely deserves some recognition as well. Hope the staff can find an opportunity to do so today.
It's really up to the artist to decide stuff like this.
We also already had the Pride Love Sticker
You know, I'm glad to hear it was dealt with on a federal level and we can stop having state arguments about it, but I'm not in love with users coming to the forums every time something important happens and suggesting items. If it happens, yay. If it doesn't, okay. I just don't dig users feeling the need to tell staff that something is deserving recognition.
Yeah, Pride Love sticker should get rereleased, imo
It was already a free gift, it's a desirable collectible and I don't think there is an item more fitting.
I think this is a great idea!
Definitely would love to see a new Pride item or a rerelease/restock of one today. <3 Even if I'm not online for it to happen, it needs to be recognized.
While I don't feel strongly one way or another about this [an item being created for this] as, technically speaking, Ireland did it first so it's not like the US did anything other than follow in someone else's shoes on a subject that should never have taken this long to be rightfully addressed. So if something was made, it should have been then.
HOWEVER.... I do feel it would be awesome for staff to release some random inflated love/pride/rainbowy items c:
I JUST WOKE UP I'M WORKIN ON IT YAAAAAAAY
Ireland was the first by popular vote I think (which god knows the US would never be able to reach), but I mean, technically didn't the Netherlands "do it first", in like 1999 or something? I definitely get what you're saying re: the US legalization, though - this country is 18th or 19th to do it.
I'm glad for my uncle and his partner (soon to be two uncles, I guess) and I'm glad that my sister can have her Canadian marriage redone in the US now if she wants, but yeah the US isn't exactly breaking new ground on this. If there is an item, I guess I just sort of don't want it to diminish the fact that this has been attained in several other first-world countries, or act like the US is in the vanguard for equalizing basic human emotions.
New pride items would be great, but how about putting in the Crystal Shop? Or giving a revamp and unretiring it?
The US saw Ireland do it and said "if the leprechauns did it, we better." This is actually kind of true, seeing as we've been very prejudiced against the Irish, and by an extension redheads... I mean, where do you think the hate for gingers came from ? Annie was redheaded for a reason. Old 'Irish need not apply' signs are still posted up in random parts of the world
I AM HAPPY AND WOULD LOVE THAT STICKER RERELEASED. Also wouldn't argue a new item, but that item was created for this topic.
Is "who did it first" seriously the only thing that matters? Unbelievable. It's not a contest or anything!
Maybe the Magical Rainbow Lolly Goody Bag could be re-released. Or just have the individual items released on their own somehow. I would really love to own those undies.
We're really going to demean this into "who did it first/better"?
But yes, I agree that something should mark this day in some form. Given most every other site has gone rainbow for the day.

But obviously Subeta is an American site and it's still worth celebrating, so nbd.
Awesome job. I'm personally very grateful. Thanks!
