So I have been looking into possibly creating an account at italki in order to offer some online English lessons. For those of you not familiar with the site you can sign up and either offer Skype lessons or participate in them. if you offer them you can decide your own hourly fee and you can also offer different types of lessons such as informal conversation training, grammar lessons or exam preps.

I have been tutoring for the past 6 years or so and I am going to be an ESL teacher so I am familiar with face to face teaching. This is new however so I was wondering if anyone of you had either participated in or offered online lessons before and would be willing to tell me about your experiences. I'm mostly concerned with what people expect from these kinds of lessons, particularly informal conversation and what material you have used.
