I mostly provide only occasional feedback on news posts, but I wanted to share some changes I've seen on Subeta over the past year(ish) that I think are fantastic. If this post doesn't belong here, I understand if admins need to move or delete it. I just didn't find a previous post sharing positive feedback.
-Improved quality of human avatar art. The human avatar items on Subeta have been beautiful for a long time, but many of them lately have been breathtaking. Some of my favorites have been the Delish Can and Ser sets, the Delish Gem and Ini sets, the spell ingredient updates, quest shop items, the salt lamps and incense burners in Cavern of Curios, the 2015 Vesnali backgrounds, and the 2015 Masquerade portraits. Please keep up the amazing work!
-Bird Watching! I love getting to do a scavenger hunt once a day and only sometimes knowing where to find the birds based on the names. It's more fun to me than simply buying items for quests.
-The "Add to Wardrobe" button when buying from shops. This has made a world of difference. The account search is helpful, but when I'm buying items for quests, this is a faster way to see what I don't already have in my wardrobe and may have overlooked before.
-The NPC shops. As much as I missed the shop map at first, this is much easier to navigate and includes more options than the map did. I used to have some trouble remembering where certain shops were and would have to search through various maps to find them.
I especially agree on the 'Add to Wardrobe' button. Even better, is the fact that when I buy a wearable for a quest and I DON'T see that 'add to wardrobe' option, I know not to WL it to buy and add it later - probably just means it's far enough back that I've forgotten about it xD
The added shop/account search buttons at the Recycle Beast and self-sticking being implemented are probably my favourites.
I'm so glad people are enjoying the buttons to Recycle Beast!
You have no idea. I went to the page today for Major Drills, saw the buttons, and actually said "YES" aloud. Like, really loudly.
So, uh, thanks.
Awww, thank you for this :)
We've been putting the effort in extra hard to 'up' our art game over the last year, and it's excellent to see it start to pay off :) Oh, and birds YES. I love figuring out fun ways to introduce some really niche thing into the system. Not that birds are niche, but 'all of the birds' was getting a bit difficult to trickle out xD So many birds, so little time.
The art has been absolutely beautiful lately, especially the new backgrounds in Esther's and for the revamped Spells Galore items. My little balloon is really enjoying the beach :D
I second the "Add to Wardrobe" feature being awesome along with the other add to options for collection items. Especially plushies. Good bejesus, there are SO MANY PLUSHIES...
I'd love to see the add to option included for beanbags too (I think that's also in the works). :)
And the recent BC revamp has been really great. Scroll library, good. The upcoming weapons change for multiple sets, even better.
I'm going to look into the adding the beanbag option soon! (I know that's been asked for a lot) If I don't get to it tomorrow (today?), than I'll def try to get it done this week. c:
Thank you for all of the hard work, admins! I just didn't want you to forget how much your work is appreciated :).
I totally agree with the OP. The NPC shop change really helps and I'm really glad with official site art (the new shoes - basic flats and boots - for example are really great, I've seen so many people wearing them!).
I love the share feature on the beta wardrobe, forum shop, zapper changes, MC change, cleaning up of shops (like discontinuing balloon shop and merging magic with apothecary), old item art revamps, item art not matching the wearable overlay... as much as I complain about subeta's management, subeta's features continue to pleasantly surprise me. Kudos. :)
Usually when I give positive feedback it hits me straight back in the face with high velocity within 48 hours because staff either does something reversed of what I complimented them on or because some members think you can't say positive things if other things aren't so positive. But hey I'm going to risk it. I feel like loads of things improved in 2015 and positive things should also be said.
The art level went way up. I remember a few art drama's in 2014 because some stuff just wasn't up to standard, but this year the staff has really upped their game. I'm really loving the art on the boutique sets we got so far and the full cover backgrounds= A+ job.
The art department thinking of those of us with a TC obsession. A t-shirt doesn't necessary have yet another t-shirt ci but maybe of a tea cup. That way it's usable for wearable people and tc people.
Small changes like adding shop search on hover (minion feeding improved like this by 200%), the add to collection buttons, the update of the recycling center, the mc, pinging in news posts. I'm probably forgetting a bunch of changes that I like because they just feel like they should be where they are a.k.a intuitive things.
I love the monthly themes. This way shops and parts of the site get attention that were neglected before. And I love how we get bits of new information about Subeta through this. Things like rainy monday are a nice addition.
Token shop/recycling beast/crystal shop/bhh getting regular new stock and them actually restocking regularly and not "woops we only restocked twice and then forgot about it".
Chibi experiments and experimental zapping.
The hustler stock being improved and the return of the collections in the cash shop. I'm here to collect all the collections and these two options for re-releasing collection items that aren't available at all = <3
The birds. I got a bird tc and before it was hard to find realistic good looking birds, and suddenly BAM birds. Shoving them all in Bram his tc.

I think the monthly themes are fantastic, I'm really enjoying the focus on the different lands lately: learning more about them and seeing new stuff based there.
This is an older change but I also really love the "remove from wishlist" option when you hover on an item and when you view it in your inventory--I remember hating having to go through my wishlist and try and remember which items I now owned.
they/them/theirs, please.
- Thank you for reminding me about the shop search button being added! I think where it has helped me out the most is when I'm doing quests.
- The "remove from wishlist" is another one of my favorites, too! It makes the adding to wardrobe even better.
The tea items from Vesnali though ;u; so happy. need moar.
I love the revamps. I mean, yea I've been a little picky and changed minor things for some NPC... like I gave Shinwa some damn eyelashes because wow that was bothering me and finally fixed Gollum's eyes O_O, but overall I love that things that are way outdated are getting looked at and made over, rather than just pushing out more items and leaving the retired stuff to rot in its horrid state. Still just waiting on... waits forever
I love the themed MCs and that fact that staff is pushing out little things to go with them during the month. Because it's not just "Oh here buy this collection you need the items give us money" but it's nice to see that they're trying to get more things onto the site, whether they're other items or little games or quests or achievements or art.
ARIEL/AMBER RERELEASING ALL THAT INFLATED/UNBUYABLE SHIT VIA THE TOKEN SHOP AND CRYSTAL SHOP ON A WEEKLY BASIS. THAT'S MY FAVE. YOU GO, GLEN COCOS.
I just wanted to say I am really enjoying the token shop restocks, and am really pleased it is being stocked more frequently! I used to find catching items really difficult and managed to stockpile a whole load of tokens but I am getting to strike things off my wish list now that have been there for years so that is really exciting!
All these things have been great.
Personal favourites (or those I take most advantage of) are the self-sticking (such a huge reduction in anxiety levels) and the account search link for the recycle beast.

All of those things! Recycle beast search buttons! Prettyfying the maps! Seriously I love those nighttime landscapes. Birdwatching! Token shop restocks! I know people like to complain and will find something to complain about no matter what (I admit sometimes I complain too), but you've been really good to us lately.
Can't put into words how gorgeous the site's art has become. I think it is definitely showing the effort being put into it and I LOVE IT. I also love how some of the site is being fleshed out more and we are getting a better feel for the world of Subeta itself: new and improved map art, day/night images and timezones, the NPCs posting and being given interactive parts on the site (Birdwatching!) and new SHOPS full of NEW ITEMS. TC items and wearables and minions and books and foods, we have been getting amazing quality items and it's very exciting. I'm loving all these changes.
Monthly releases: themes, CSC sets, etc. It's really cool looking forward to something every month, it makes the site feel so active and alive. Token Shop and Crystal Shop restocking have also been really cool and make those areas of the site feel useful and exciting again.
I am also gonna throw out there that staff communication has improved... I know there's plenty of room for more but, I think Subeta is really making strides towards a beautifully professional site- DON'T STOP it's going well and can be better! Things I love: site update ping group, announcement forum, staff professional response in feedback and suggestion forums. More of all this! All of the staff should make a habit of using those features regularly. Just having a place to see what's changed and being worked on makes a huge difference. 100 thumbs up
ALSO I have noticed the site is becoming a little more user friendly: place like the Birdwatching daily got a little explanation as to how it worked and that's something many parts of Subeta really lacked for a long time. I love seeing text on the site explaining how things work.
I've been on this site 9 years and I'm not gonna leave any time soon, but it's really really cool just how much improvement you guys have achieved the past couple years. It's finally feeling like a real, bone fide game to play. I'm enjoying spending my free time here. Keep up the good work and progress.
