Have you ever kept a pet just because you've spent too much sP and CSC on their TC and TC slots to just let them go?

There's this one pet I'm not doing anything with and honestly I probably won't do anything with for a long while yet or even ever, but they have a great TC with loads of slots and I spent real £££ on some awesome art for their profile, so I feel like I can't get rid of them. But on the other hand, I don't care enough about them to cough up for the name change that they so desperately need. So there they sit, taking up a slot while I refresh the Adopt center and sigh over all the pretty names and fandom names that I can't have.

I wish I had 30 slots or something, I already spotted about 10 pets with names that I really want in the AP. sighs

I do have a pet that I'm keeping because of it's color and it's treasure chest slots. I don't like the name anymore but I just love the Chibi so I don't think I could give that pet away^^ But it's less of a question of cost for me than a question of availability of the color. I don't think I would keep a pet just because of what I invested in them because I would regret not having that free space.

Hmmm...I don't think TC as a single factor will affect my decision. I usually would consider ID and stat more than TC slots. And I will never keep a pet with a name I'm not 100% happy with (so I'll have to either change name or pound pet). I also have changed/exchanged pet names just because I don't want to take out 100+ items from the TC and put them back into another pet's TC. Laziness can be costly I guess xD...

Yes. Earlier this year I literally had to go through all the characters I wasn't solid on and force myself to elixir them into Common Kumos, wipe their profiles and empty out their TCs. It was kind of painful, but it also helped get rid of that "but I can't change it because x!" compulsion I had. I loved the names but I was holding onto character concepts I wasn't necessarily happy with just because of a profile/expensive color/TC arrangement I liked too much to dismantle.

I'm glad I'm not the only person crazy enough to do that jfkd. Not only the agony of removing and re-adding so many items one by one, but also ordering them the same as before... it's worth the price to avoid the headache after a certain point. |D

I'm glad too :P. And yes, ordering is another problem indeed, especially for the ones that I regularly get lost in xD...And my "old" age sometimes doesn't allow me to exactly replicate the original TC order. I intended to screencap the whole thing during moves, but ended up with changing names in most cases -_-...

I have this pet whose name I am not entirely happy with. Since his ID is low, his TC has 200+ spots and I am too tired of literally everything including finding a better name I am just keeping him as he is. X-X

Any of my pets that I'd created pre-2010 where too precious for me to put in the adoption center, so they have gone through so many name, color and species changes, well, why stop now? This is the year I'm going to solidify it and spend millions upon millions expanding their treasure chests. They will never escape me! cackles

Wow, I have thought about identity wiping my pets but that's such a grand idea. Now I really really want to do that, even though I spent several million this week re-potioning a few of them. Decisions decisions decisions.

liking the wiping a pet idea! i'm not happy with a few of mines and some are stuck in some weird limbo stage because of unfinished ideas so maybe this is the way forward :p
