So I guess only normal shops are affect by this and Galleries are not going to be treated the same way?
Whelp I guess I jumped the gun too early.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
During Quickstocking-
"Oh No! You've exceeded the limit of 2,500 unique items in this shop."
When did this become a thing? And doesn't it defeat the purpose of the Hoarder achievements?
Seriously I hope this is a glitch, I'd hate having to take apart one different gallery just to have another one dedicated to hoarding.
--fixed the title because YAY GRAMMAR!
Oh No! You've exceeded the limit of 2,500 unique items in this shop.
And regular shops, apparently.
A heads-up would have been GREAT.
[edit]
God I hope it's not for galleries, wtf. What am I supposed to do with my holiday gallery?
okay yeah. I thought i was going crazy or hit some new limit.
Staff have been wanting to get rid of the hoarder achieves, so this might be the start of it. Still... would have been nice to warn people, I hope it's not going to negatively effect people's hoards.
I was just able to add something to my gallery with almost 6k unique items - did you get that error on a user shop, or an actual gallery?
I heard rumors of it but I didn't think they would actually do it.
I got it 6 times in a row for my "for the Hoard" Gallery with over 9k items. I haven't tried it with a shop.
Make them pay if they want to increase the size

It was pretty much guaranteed, it's a real drain on the site and Kieth has always regretted it =(
Hmm... I wonder why it worked for my gallery and not yours. Is your gallery organized or categorized at all? Maybe that makes a difference?
I hope it's a mistake that this happened with no notice... I knew limits for the shops and galleries were a thing that Keith's talked about in the past, but a warning would be nice.
I have almost 5,000 items in my shop that still haven't sold. Does that mean I won't be able to add anything new to it until I'm under that 2.5k limit? Just trying to understand.
Again, I knew this was, according to Keith, going to be a thing eventually. And I don't mind that, nor do I mind that the limit is as low (in comparison to NO limit) as 2,500. But, yeah - I hope it was unintentional that this happened with no notice.
[edit]
I can individually add items to my shop from Inventory but I can't quickstock (though I could do it this morning just fine so this must be a super recent thing).
A warning would have been wonderful.
I'm hating this new trend of implementing things that change aspects of the site drastically and there being no heads up.

oh god I really really hope that's not the case either. :( All I know is Saturday I was able to QS into my gallery and today it is telling me no.
No, I have the main shop with 3500 unique items and the crappy shop with everything at 25k sP. This one has 5500 items (about) and I couldn't add in neither of them.
Well, I remember Keith also said that when this was implemented, we would be able to autoprice multiple shops so we could still sell more than x number of items at a time. I just attempted to autoprice a second shop and I'm getting the 'you've already autopriced' message. So hopefully this is being tested/is still in flux or something.
But geez, I really wish staff would let us know when they were putting something this major into action, even if it's just for testing.
SO FRUSTRATING.
Yeah, I can't quickstock. I was only able to add that item before via Inventory. It's not wonky for me after all, it doesn't work on quickstock.
Well that's lame. Guess I won't be questing until the junk already in my shop sells so I have somewhere to put the new crap.
WWtf i have been going for he 45k hoarder achievement and NOW you tell me i can't?
Wow this sucks....
An sp sink would be fine with me. But if i knew keith would do this so soon i wouldn't have put so much effort into it...
Oh yes, that would make sense then now you're saying! I always order my stuff from the Inventory and I noticed no problem and then I use quickstock.
Now I am stuck with the 500 items from the vending in my inventory nowhere to put them. So I created another crappy shop for 400k which won't even be profitable, in the meantime for putting them SOMWHERE at least.
Well, I agree. We definitely should have been warned. I autopriced and now I am going to wait for getting rid of everything. Nice.
Well, this is a good excuse for me to finally quit trying to hoard (37k unique) and get everything back to my other collections. Oh, to have a full wardrobe again will be glorious.
bird and bear and hare and fish give my love her fondest wish
I'm sorry you already went and vended and now can't do much with the stuff. :/ Ugh I'm glad I already did quests for the day or I'd be in the same position. I don't want to have to create a ton of random shops just to have somewhere to put junk. So disorganized.
