Hello, lovelies. It's been a year since Peka-Boo now. You know, the huge summer event where we competed in a battle of the bands? Because of that a whole lot of wearable musical instruments were released. But they were never quite enough.
So, I'd like to ask for even more musical instruments for the first anniversary since Subeta's first BotB. My focus here is on classical Chinese instruments:
(Yes, I know we already have a cello xD )
Out of these, the Erhu and the Guzheng are the ones I'd appreciate having the most.
A Japanese taiko drum would be lovely too.
This instrument is called the serpent and it should be on this site. Wikipedia article.
And the glass armonica.
On a slightly less obscure/weird note, how about harpsichords? You could also use a wider variety of drums.

I've only seen this glass armonica in on one episode of Black Butler! I had no idea it was actually a thing! O_O
Yes! Good! :D
the asian instruments would be a great addition to shengui guo.
however, I'd like to throw in my suggestions as additions to the music shop:
melodica

is the only one, is a steamworks version. I'd like them in more colors.
and well that's sort of all I got for now
Yep, that thing is two weird not to exist. It gets even more interesting when you read about it. They were invented by Benjamin Franklin, and Marie Antoinette was known to be a player. The sound coming from it also confuses the brain slightly somehow, so that one can't distinguish where the sound is coming from. I don't really have the scientific know-how to say why that is. Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy on the glass armonica.
Speaking of weird mad genius instruments, how about Musical Tesla Coils? Okay, Tesla might have been mad, but even he didn't come up with the idea to make music with lightning bolts. That came later.
Or instead of misusing natural phenomena to play human music, why don't we see what happens when we let nature herself play something? Like with the Aeolian or Wind Harp, or this Sea Organ in Croatia.

Dat Tesla coil! An excellent suggestion!
I will always agree to more instruments!
Shamisen and koto plz.
Also theremin, calliope and glockenspiel!
Great suggestions! Also, bassoons (and contrabassoons) have been mentioned in Rah's obscure items list, but I'm adding them here as well. Seems silly we don't have bassoons already...
The koto is basically a guzheng from what I could see, and the glockenspiel looks like a xylophone. But I support your suggestions wholeheartedly :) It doesn't matter how weird the instrument is, as long as there's a lot :D
sounds cool. Lets do it!
The koto is kind of like the guzheng's younger brother. They have different numbers of strings; modern koto have 13, I think? And modern zheng have um... more than that, I can't remember.
The glockenspiel and xylophone are also part of the same family (along with vibes and marimba and a few others), but the glockenspiel has metal keys and a xylophone has wood.
and speaking of that, I'd also suggest tubular bells!
But they all exist in the world, so they all deserve to be represented! Hooray music!
I'm definitely all for new instruments :D (and also for the Electric Piano overlay to finally be fixed, pretty please??)
