Hahaha, I know this problem but only from real life - it became less of a hassle now that I'm older but way back at kindergarten and elementary school my name felt more like a collective term than like an actual given name. :x

I know of at least one other person sharing my name here but luckily they don't use it as an username so it's all good.

Hahahaha. For my first 5ish years here my username was Mandyyy and ALL the time I would get confused for the users Mandy and Mandyy. It was super silly

i feel for ya. in high school there were 17 other kids i shared my name with, i cant remember a time when i didnt share a name with someone :/

I knew roughly 20 Sams and one point, and definitely over 10 Harrys and Joshs.

Wow, that must suck knowing so many people with the same name as you. I think the most people I know of the same name is Sarah and that's only 3 people.

not as much as having 6 other folks in my immediate family having the same name :x

I don't remember seeing my real name around here. The nicknames of my real name on the other hand, I've seen. I usually go by my full first name but it still throws me a bit.

I think my name has fallen out of favor, it seems. I haven't meet anyone that much younger than me with my name. Back when I was in school it never failed that I'd be in one class, or more, with another of my name. Worse was the year the music teacher had both of us sit next to each other without even noticing what he did. It was always fun trying to figure out who was being called on. Add to it that he'd forget which one of us he meant and make eye contact with both of us. lol To add to the trifecta I also sat next to another common 80s name (that starts with the same two letters) person as well.

My real name is pretty uncommon, plus it can be spelled several differently ways, so I don't see it on here. (There's not even a user with the name.) Oddly enough, I know someone else in real life with my name, spelled the same.

my rl name is Sarah and I hated it for the longest time. It didnt matter that I was named after family I never met-- I never felt like a Sarah and Sarah's are everywhere. Seriously there was 10 Sarahs in one of my classes.
When I was ten I read the Raven and liked the idea of it as my name. So that's the name I took and have been going by it to friends for years and years now. On Subeta I started with another username, not realising that that's literally your name here--thankfully I changed my name here too lol.

I don't share a name with too many people. I don't even think in school I shared my name with anyone. Unfortunately my name is very similar to another name, so I can understand why that would be frustrating.
