Hello there, newly awakened Faekin here, just wondering if there are other Otherkin (elven, fae, therian, etc.) on Subeta?
This is not a debate thread, I am not asking if you think Otherkin are 'real', just looking for others. ":)

When I roleplay, I enjoy being a mage or a werewolf. I still identify as human though. I also respect otherkin in general since I know a few of them in my circle of friends :)
"...I've been through it all baby, I'm mother courage."
Never heard of that term. Would someone be so kind to explain it to me? :)
Oooh so are you a faerie? May I ask what kind of faerie? I don't mean to be rude, it's just that I know many different mythologies and I'm always interested in learning more, I love supernatural/mystical beings :3

Ooooh nice! Never heard of that before 8D
... I don't think there are any fairies from Brazil. I think we have some forest spirits and such, but I know so very little from our indians' culture, only what they precariously teach in school, which is like 5 entities, one of them european they teach as being originally from here õ_o
I wonder if any otherkin can be born here xD Maybe they'll never know either.
I am sure there are Brazilian otherkin; I am American, but my kintype originates in Europe. :)

Well, then they probably don't know lol I'm not the most popular person, but I've know a lot of people and like a couple of others I had never read/heard the therm otherkin before (I just figured from your intro haha)
The best I've seen is a few people telling me their experiences with ghosts and spirits, maybe that has something to do with it! Either way, must be really cool to be a fae! <3
I have always really REALLLYYY wanted to be a fairy. Even as a teenager I'd read "Wildwood Dancing" and pretend I had a portal to the Faerie kingdom that would appear on the night of a full moon. I searched for faerie rings and went out in the woods with a field journal drawing faerie-like nature. So maybe I'm a wannabe?
Maybe, yes. :D Loving fairies is a GOOD thing! I think you would know if you were Faekin though, at least most Otherkin stories i have read are like mine and describe a moment when you simply knew what you were. Here's to keeping the magic alive!

You probably already know, so this may not be helpful but Sidhe refers to the fairy mounds that they live in. The term I see most used for that specific type of fair folk is Aos SÃ or the older term Aes SÃdhe.
Past that, do you know whether you'd be more seelie or unseelie since aos si tend not to be described as wholly one or the other!
