: OK, Chapter three is up, Time to get to the SL. The puzzles are solved and mailed off to Greenrowan already.

We have two tasks to complete, an RP and Design a craft. Read Rowan's answer to my lengthy question in the OOC section, we may submit several concepts, but we should agree on the ONE WE WANT JUDGED.

Who is a good artist and is good with vehicle design?

The vehicle should carry ALL OF US. We are in this together.

Fantasy vehicles, propelled by magic are allowed in Seelie territory. Mechanized transport is allowed only in Bordertown.

I can draw a bit, but I'm no use with vehicles. Just how fantastic (and laws-of-physics compliant) do they have to be? And do we draw the creatures pulling the vehicles too? If we're going with Seelie ones.

I'm thinking that we should fashion a coach to be pulled in seelie Territory and a M.U.L.E.-like vehicle for bordertown. I can draw a little, I know draws, Minshasa can draw, but I don't know about the rest. I suggest everybody draws something and we will cobble this together. Remember, in the story, we are building it from junkyard parts, and I imagine that the whole team would be working in the junkyard cutting, welding and bolting bits together.

Also, submit a RP about this chapters topic. We cut it close on chapter two, and I still made lots of mistakes . Early submissions give us more time to polish our writing.

what is a M.U.L.E.?

I think we should make a set of fins like loggerhead turtle fins to propel us. Obviously we're working with magic on a lot of levels here right?

. I'm not sure at all about this. I think that the vehicles that we are supposed to design are less organic and more Firefly-serenity inspired then anything. Unseelies sound like faerie reavers.

If we make a bordertown vehicle, it should be propelled by some kind of mechanical engine, perhaps a nuclear core, or some vibrating crystal. I doubt that any bordertown has petrol or any fossil fuel like coal. We could build an internal combustion turbine that burns old photocopy machine toner ( micro fine carbon and iron dust ) and nitrous oxide medical gas cylinders.

I don't agree that to be firefly esque it can't also be faerieesque?

I'm feeling the pressure because this in one of the most busy times of my year. I was out all day from 6:00AM until 9:00 PM with my work, I will be out the same time tomorrow for my work and Friday too.

um, Dace might have lost her cool a little... (everyone who reads this is going to be like A LITTLE?) But yeah, she's very protective of Frieda.

Aicha's used to getting yelled at (not that it bothers her at all). Ariewyn tried for 2 years to tame her and (after a bunch of incidents where they were at each other's throats) they still only barely got alone.

I added a little more, cause Aicha is not one to let anyone get the last word in. More threats and Aicha bragging about how strong she is...now the only question is if she's telling the truth or not XD

: Maybe Dace and Teislyn can take Arewyn's place as the ones who can keep Aicha at a sword's point peace this time. Dace with the threat of being able to become exactly whatever she touches and Teislyn with her "teacher voice."

Frieda's not a simpering little scaredy-cat, she is a weasel on Terra after all. Her species is the most fierce and successful predator of all mammals. She has spunk, tenacity and can become quite blood thirsty under the right conditions. Under most conditions, she is sweet, loving, affectionate, sensitive and caring...powered by her empathic abilities. Yet, weasels are truly the great-white shark of the forest. Hmmm...(weasels = land shark)Works for me.

Don't expect Frieda to routinely wet herself with fear. Now that she knows what Aicha is capable of, she will be less willing to put herslef in a position to become a target for Aicha's abuse and wrath. Frieda still wants to reach out to her though and make friends if possible. Perhaps this is the year that Aicha finds the magician that cursed her sister and she is cured. Maybe Frieda can help. Do you see that story arc resolving anytime soon?

It's possible - depends where we end up and who we end up fighting. If, at some point, we wind up fighting against multiple enemies, I can worm in some of the 'workers' for him - they tend to work as 'spies' within groups.

"Teacher voice" haha. Maybe I should carry a ruler too.

I hope it's good enough for a last minute type of thing. Maybe once I adjust to the school schedule, the entries won't be so last minute :)
