I'm a restocker, and my guess is it is esactly the same, only certain items are repressed and others enhanced. If all the possible items are repressed or all their stock-chance-rolls fail, it doesn't happen.

Restocks are supposed to happen in chains, where if one shop restocks others will make a try, and I have observed this to be true.

said that there'd be a chance that other shops would now stock if one shop stocked, but it wouldn't be automatic. It made it sound like if one shop's "is it time now to restock yet?" timer went off it'd have a chance to trigger another shop to restock. It also made it sound like this chain reaction would reset that other shop's "is it time now to restock yet?" clock even if the roll failed or if that shop's attempt itself failed.

I've observed that if one shop restocks, a few more shops will also restock, and there will be a small time difference between the times they say they last restocked. My guess based on observation is the chain seems to stop or fail within 3. These fails seem to prevent shops from restocking for a long time.

So basically if the chain reaction happens to some shops, then next time the reaction goes to another random group of shops and so on and so that way the restocks keep going?

It is! I stalk stick it to the man! from time to time and I never catch any restock somehow?? I remember I'd get them more often but also I see the "restocked 3 minutes ago" thing so I have my doubts.
