It's been a number of weeks since this new software/technology/what have you has been put into play for the SB. It's been the same amount of time that the SB isn't working right.

Got a quote from someone off another thread, but it fits perfectly in this situation:

While it's not a nightmare, it's still incredibly frustrating that with almost each page refresh you're forced to wait for the SB to come back up again, starting with the newest post and losing all the previous convo below (unless you have it open somewhere in an old tab). Just because it doesn't seem to do it on one person's side of things, doesn't mean that it isn't happening to others. This is happening to a lot of others and it's not fine.

I don't know when, but apparently the new programming for the SB is the same that's going to power the new sMail system...another new feature in the works.

There are so many things on this site that need working on it's crazy. It just seems like more and more new features ard coming out instead of fully working on what currently exists and fixing what currently is already on site. "We're so excited! We have a whole bunch of new features for you guys!"

I don't know about you guys, but I'd be happier with no new features right now but instead having focus and energy put towards old and current features getting them fixed first prior to putting anything else that's new out.

I can name a few big ones, too: RSing, SB, Shop Search, Beta Wardrobe (don't even get me started on that monstrosity -_-). I'm sure there's more.

Please just...fix things? :/

I've had the sb open all morning because i cbf closing it and it's working fine for me.

I like that I can actually post in it now on the tablet and phone! (Previously i couldn't, for whatever reason.) But that is negated by the fact that seven, eight, nine out of ten pages don't actually display the SB. -.- I would rather watch and be entertained by people talking even if I can't join in!

It's not just the SB though (which many still have issues with) It seems as though more and more new features keep coming out that seem to work only partially. I do think that staff should forget about new features and work on what's already on site that so desperately need it.

I have to agree with this sentiment, I've felt this way for a long time. They think we'll get bored of what we already have so they release new, half-baked features, along with trying to "revamp" what we already have, and then leave all of it half broken. The wardrobe revamp has been in the midst of revamp for... how many years now?

And then for some reason, they decided to create a brand new feature: minion battling! I have nothing against minions or collectors but seriously, why exactly was this feature necessary? And has it even been touched since? I will honestly and truly be surprised if there is a member of staff who is, right now, actively working on something minion battling related. When there is so much else that is broken and should take priority.

Like the trainwreck that has become of the "restocking revamp/changes/fixes/???".

I'm pretty sure for some people the old, good, wardrobe stopped working for them, and they're forced to use that monstrosity of a glitchfest that is the beta wardrobe. Every time something else is getting tweaked or overhauled completely I just want to redirect them to the beta wardrobe and make it usable.

They're trying to work on so many features at once that nothing ever gets fixed all the way, everything is a work in progress around here. And honestly, not being able to properly use features bores me more than not getting new features at all.

I haven't been able to view my forum groups since last September when the forum groups have been revamped. I've mentioned it multiple times (and thanks to the brilliant forum revamp I doubt those links will even take you to the correct posts), have a bug thread for it (which a programmer replied to once, then never again), and have an open ticket that's been ongoing since January, which hasn't been replied to since early last month. Can someone just.... please help me.... I want to see my forum groups....

I'm just so done with everything either not being done at all or only done halfway. Can someone please just finish an entire project for once? I get, coding on the same thing for ages can get boring, same problems you keep bumping into and that you can't get fixed. But leaving a project untouched for months while said project is an important site feature? (Talking about the wardrobe in case someone has been living under need a rock for the past year)

No idea. It's a subforum in the site update subforum, in the announcements forum. I thought siteupdate was pinged to it, but it wasn't, so that's even weirder. I have no idea how I found it tbh but it seems like another useless addition to the site that was immediately dropped.

I've been saying this to my friends for ages. It's always like this. Haven't seen anything about the wardrobe, and haven't heard a peep (thank god) about minion battling, even though they apparently deemed it important enough to focus resources on instead of fixing junk that they broke.

One small but nice thing that you used to be able to use in the SB were the > <. Now you can't as they eat your posts. People use the < + 3 to make the <3 over using : heart : as it's faster. Can't anymore.

I actually posted a feedback thread with all the issues, and it was moved to P&B (and now it's pushed down under other issues go figure)

The beta wardrobe should just be killed off. It is difficult and messy to use and has no advantages over the old wardrobe system. Please put it out of its misery. Thanks.

Actually there are a number of benefits to the beta wardrobe over the original that are wonderful - the filtering between official and CW items, the instant buy link, the CWs for sale from player CW shops, the layering of the base on top of the non-HA cut out BGs/FGs.

There ARE a number of negatives to the wardrobe still, though. I'll post what I've seen later

The amount of times they try to "fix" or "improve" the site and they end up totally wrecking it.

I'll be on steadily, then they'll "improve/fix" something, I'll bugger off for a couple weeks to let the dust settle because the site is unusable, I come back and it's even worse.

Seriously.

You WILL lose members if you can't keep your hands out of the code long enough to come up with a GOOD IDEA that actually improves the site.

Now we have this new battle scroll library and more work is being done on the minion zoo. I really wish new features would be put on hold instead of putting more and more out. We won't get bored. I think more of us are more frustrated at how things currently are than looking for more and more new things coming out :/

I'm more interested in the battle changes than the SB, but maybe that's just me ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Most of the battle community has been waiting for the scroll library + multiple weapon sets for a very long time. I could care less about the beta wardrobe, but I'm not against it being worked on.
