I just found my way into the blue building and the Bumbus Queen has a quest for me. I don't want a Bumbus pet right now, so can I refuse the quest, or is it a one time offer?

You can refuse the quest if you want, but there's no penalty to just let it sit there. You can get more, but only when you get an RE summoning you to the Blue Building

God, I think I've gotten twenty of those quest REs. Pretty sure you can turn it down and just keep getting more - or just ignore it. I ignore it. I always ignore it.

Just a note that you can adopt a Bumbus anytime through the Blue Building, the quest for the Bumbus Queen is only if you need to turn one of your existing pets into a Bumbus c:
