I found this while looking at the available locations on the Subetawiki:
<p>Oh no. It appears the security has finally cut off this area of Blackmoon Corp. I guess that means something REALLY big must be coming here soon...
This a pretty good plot to get Calvin Blackmoon back into the picture, along with new items and revamps!

points at Atebus Shop thread See that? 'Cos I'm seeing the perfect opportunity to introduce a sci-fi themed plot. Maybe with lots of old pop culture references like the Jaxian plot referenced Ghostbusters and the like - X Files, Star Wars, GotG, Star Trek, all that good stuff. Maybe even Warhammer 40k please, please, please. Maybe we need to snoop around Area 62 and see what Blackmoon's planning, like the nosy little snoopers we are?
Oh god, yes. And while we're snooping around we can see hints of new pets, items, Battle Coliseum opponents and maybe new npcs!
Maybe we end up ousting Blackmoon from power and a nicer, more moral underling takes control of Blackmoon Corp and vows to turn it around? And starts off by filling the Abetus Shop with new cool merch and giving us some goodies for our troubles. Like we got the Storm Potions, hint hint?
I also saw a neat plot idea involving 'Blackmoon Juice' and the sticker shop NPC, that was pretty cool. Speaking of, I think an agender robot/android NPC would be cool - maybe something sleek and Apple-ish, like Strategos 6 from Ava's Demon, to contrast with out Steampunk robot guy who's name I have temporarily forgotten.

That would be awesome! Or maybe calvin transfers his memories to a robot and a new ruler comes, but after some months Calvin comes back changed but still a bit rude? idk My mind's teeming with ideas but I don't know what to type Can we ping the others too so they can share their ideas as well?

Even if it wasn't a "sneak peek" area, I'd love to see it involved in some kind of plot.
Also? What Magnus said about a sci-fi plot; I'd love to see one of those. Heck, it could even tie in with the Masq Rift plot somehow from a year ago, given that that involved a couple of neat robotic minions and items.
Or heck, maybe it's just the place where Euclid stashes his less...cough...acceptable experiments. Along those lines, what's going on with SAI? Tie that into some big coverup scheme/plot, that could be fun.

It would be nice to see it reused again, whether for plot or for a general purpose.
I think it was (wasn't here for that plot) but I'd love to see it come up again and be relevant once more. I hate seeing that big empty building sit there for no reason.
Area 62 was actually the ancestor of vending machines, where you could get a random item for 1 token, or nothing.
I personally don't really want it back, because it wasn't...that original of a name in the first place.
@ Kitkat182000 I actually have a detailed plot idea thread here in suggestions that features Blackmoon. Maybe I could work in Area 62 in there somehow? I mostly wrote it as an idea for Rumi to get her own sticker, but I was determined to put Blackmoon in there because he's awesome and needs to be in a plot.

Maybe Blackmoon is secretly trying to use rift energy to make some new kind of robot/tech..and one escapes during a trial run. And he blames it's on some scientist under him, saying that he had nothing to do with it's creation, and decides to use subetans as expendable test subjects for some of his other inventions to help "catch" the robot while it's really a ploy to get more data on it.
It also wouldn't hurt if the name of the area changed; Area 62 is kinda cliche...

I'm indifferent about Area 62 but I would love a space-themed plot
I'm aiming a bit more for wears, but we really do need an event with dome decent battles...most of the booster prices are in the tank Xp I was trying to keep it somewhat vague so other people can mess with it.
I've only watched 2 Alien movies, 1 Predator, no Terminator/Pacific Rim. Grew up watching Star Wars, Star Trek: Voyager/Deep Space Nine. And have watched all of Babylon 5 and Stargate: SG-1/Atlantis minus the movies. I'm not including anime since I don't feel like digging out my giant list. Not super huge sci-fi fan, but I do like it.
Any plot involving science fiction, cyberpunk/riftpunk, space and atebus has my vote. I honestly want more not less of atebus and the rumors of the shop closing is heartbreaking.
