Any regular user on Subeta would know that it takes lots of time and much effort to price individual items in a shop. The ease of using the autopricer as a Gold Account member is a great relief and time saver. What if for basic users the "Lowest: price" section was implemented? That way standard users would still have to price items manually, yet have the convenience of seeing the current lowest price of items without the hassle of looking up every single item.

Thoughts? Is this a good idea, or would it be too close to the perk of the autopricer?

[edit]A random buff seems great:

 • Maybe create a random buff that gives a user the lowest price for a half-hour or an hour, that way they can take advantage during that moment, perhaps enticing them to buy a GA for themselves?

 • A random buff that could be gained from something like restocking could be interesting like "hey, you got so much from main shops, here let us give you a little help for now"

I think it's too close of a perk of AutoPricer for GA members. As nice as it would be, it would just make it seem less worth it to buy a GA for that reason. :C

Well, think about all the other perks of Gold account: pet slots, more quests, faster training, no ads, more inventory locks, twice as much vending, etc. If a standard user has over 500 items to price and therefore several pages of items, why would the feature be that bad? They wouldn't get the instant autopricing option. It would just save time.

Having the numbers right there would make it a bit easier on non-GA users, but it's still time consuming without the full autopricer. I don't see this making having a GA worthless. The time the full autopricer saves is still worth it, as are all the other GA perks.

Do you know how many people buy a GA just to use the autopricer? There's a good reason staff has said they won't sell a separate autopricer without the GA, this is included in that imo.

I personally would love this feature ( the lowest price shown ) because it would still be a huge pain in the ass to hand price shops.

I completely get why it wouldn't be considered feasible since it would eliminate my (and probably quite a few others) need for GAs.

I would be interested to see what effect it would have on the economy, I would think it would be worse off si bc e ut would be much easier to constantly lower prices.

I think it would be worth it to have the autopricer at least show the lowest price for non-GA users. Maybe something like only the first 50 items in the shop, and from there they have to price and update manually. Well, they'd still have to put in the price manually in the shop, but at least it would save a little time.

And the GA still has a lot of awesome perks (just got upgraded for a week and it's awesome). The GA would still have the increase in pets, perks, vending machines, training, quests, autopricer (full), etc.. The standard account would still have to manually type in the price, would still have to price the rest. While it can be time consuming, this just lets the standard account people have some help with the pricing.

This is actually a great idea for an account perk/buff. And it might convince me to price my shop more than twice a year. Support.

This is actually a perk for GA users:

Therefore, releasing it to the general public would take away a perk from GA users

To extrapolate on what I said earlier (and because is a friggin blessing), just because something would be good and convenient for you, doesn't mean it's going to be good and convenient for the site. If this is changed, there would be a massive dip in the amount of GA sold.

Yeah, the autopricer is one of the main reasons people get the GA, because not everyone is a pet person, not everyone is a battle person, not everyone cares for the extra wearables, but there are really, really few people who never use their shop.

I think it's an interesting idea, but I do agree with the point that it's too powerful and takes away the potency of having a gold account.

 • Perhaps a small 'shop search' link next to the name of the item (not the full item bubble, that's probably too hard on database queries).
 • If only the lowest price for like the first 50 items were shown, that would give standard users some form of running a modest shop without having to put a ton of effort into it.
 • Maybe create a random buff that gives a user the lowest price for a half-hour or an hour, that way they can take advantage during that moment, perhaps enticing them to buy a GA for themselves?

I like the idea of it being a buff. It's probably too big a part of why people buy GAs to make permanent, but I think it would be fine if every once in a while you got an RE saying "The shopkeepers of Subeta have taken pity on you and sent over a price guide! For half an hour your shop will display the lowest price for all items under [whatever the current autoprice price limit is]!"

I support the idea of the buff as proposed by , , and . I wouldn't go so far as say up to the current autoprice limit (as it's five mil), but around 500-750k seems fair to me.

It's too close to the actual autopricer and on top of that I don't really understand why this would be necessary? I mean, it's really not hard to make money on this site. You get 1-2mil from questing alone and given that the 1-week-GA-medal costs around 7mil, you're questing for not more than 3-4 days. Aim for that GA, stock up your shop, autoprice and watch the money come in. Easy as that, so I think anything that gets close to any perk of the GA should stay with the GA. I would understand (and maybe support) these suggestions if the GA was only buyable with real cash (like some sort of membership subscription) or only comes as a 1month+ one since those are the expensive ones and not really reachable in a short amount of time. But as it is now... it's unecessary, imo.

I also don't think something like this should be an RE, especially not the way some users have suggested. As someone who always has multiple tabs open and is too lazy to actually check all of them on REs (hell, I don't even know how many times I missed that extra Wizard quest because I close those tabs way too fast), this particular RE could slip into the shadows and not be noticed until it expires. Given that it would literally be a perk of the GA, obtaining it would be quite the rare occassion (maybe it would be tied to restocking and just rarely activates if you buy a certain number of items from the NPC shops)... I can guess that the buff will most likely not be noticed by half of the userbase. And then there would be a lot of complaining to increase the duration or make it more noticeable, blaaah... no thank you. Please just let the GA be the GA and if you want to afford it, save up some sP.

from this thread:

Quote by Keith

The gold account has multiple features, and the autopricer is one of the most used. It is a feature of the gold accounts. This is not a "combo" deal, where you can purchase pieces separately (like the chicken combo you brought up, which from the start was planned to be sold as a combo and by itself), it is one cash shop benefit that you can purchase at once.

Again, this is not only unlikely, it&;s bound to not happen.

Please no. Part of the reason I'm not renewing my GA is because fetching the lowest price for every item means my shop takes forever to load. D: I hate that so much.

I'm not suggesting "buying" anything. I simply think that it would be nice to implement as a regular feature, just as they added the "shop search" buttons for quest items, for example.

had an excellent idea in making it a buff such as the discounts off NPC shops. I support working hard in order to earn sP, but I'd think it would be a great additive to make it so users could spend more time doing other things on the site.
