Yes; I am really sorry, I forgot to remove the hashdag by posting the challenge for my team. Excuse me!

Oh no problem, I just was a tad confused. Thanks for clearing it up and I apologize for pinging everyone.
I need sleep.

: Frieda's accidentally doused herself in Tres Sexy and is now meeting Lucien...she feels a little self-conscious and school-weasel-ish...I hope the good captain realizes her faux pas is an innocent gaffe.
Get thee to Subetalodge! One week goes fast, especially with Monday being a holiday for lots of folks.

pssst, it's Bonne chance because chance has feminine articles c:

She means super-powering. The mage should not be able to handle this alone. The mage, and all of the characters, for that matter, are not all-powerful.

But what if my mage snuggles the darkness and it loves her so it just goes away? :P

I get it. Heehee I think it would've been easier if the term "god modding" was used though XP
"Wolf spreads her arms wide and uttering a spell in a very loud voice brings an end to all the world's chaos and eternal peace on all!!!"
😇 (teasing)

Well, that's the obvious form. But there's also the more subtle ones -- like, say, a spell for immunity to electricity, instead of merely minor resistance.

And I was just going to ask the Hulk come over and pull things together for us....:P
Which, dear one, would be true IF Lucien were French. However, he isn't. He's Atebian (Ateban?). His family supported Sebasian Phoenix in the rebellion, so they had to flee into exile. He is still very proud of his ancestry, though, and uses the "patois" now and then.
(PS: See the rule on Subeta about non-foreign languages in the forum. Some things slide, BUT I know from actual experience that's it's best not to be too correct, and to make everyone a Subetan in some way. :) With the new "community guidelines report option," being careful takes on extra meaning. wink)
Actually, is right on! I think everyone knows pretty much that god-modding isn't allowed, but "ubering" can be very subtle, and that's the aspect I get the arguing smails about: "But what if I just do....fills in overpowered spell," or "well, what if I...rewrites part of plot to their advantage or their teams."
It gets to be a big headache after a bit, because it always comes up.
You guys are truly hilarious! LOVE it!
Oh, I know your pain, darling. In forum rps, there are sometimes people that don't realize that just because their character isn't /technically/ all powerful doesn't matter. It's if you face everything thrown at you on screen without missing a step that there's a problem, if it's designed to be a challenge. If the DM says you are going to be challenged, assume your abilities most likely do not provide an easy way out. And besides, 90% of the fun is just how creatively you can use less powerful abilities to the same effect -- well, that and traumatizing your characters. hugs her poor Maxwell

You're exactly right here as well, but please don't be traumatized. Forming a creative solution for your team is the way to go always. Our judges LOVE that.
No, no, I mean...I may put my characters through entirely too much. It's good for their development! Or so I keep telling them. I'm a cruel author.
