Just a brief rant. Now don't get me wrong: Most of all these lovely new redesigns are just that! Quite lovely! (I'm excited for the re-re-do of the wings of a fairy however they manage that - if they just release a new 'old' item or whatever they managed to lose the older charm and etherealness in the update) but no seriously! Those butterfly wings, the naga fang - lovely new artwork!

My problem is I'm a visual restocker and I keep getting all turned about because I don't recognize half the things and the 'new normal' items are all throwing me off XD

I keep doing double takes, and almost missing things and just pausing going - Oh what's that? Oh right that's just the new art for the scarabs. I got myself all mentally focused on all the old art for my rare hunting.

Subeta I've had too many years of this to change easily, and I'll get used to it and the new art is lovely but DANG IT! Seriously the one thing that throws me more than almost anything on sites is when they do huge art renovations when I've spent (years!) getting so used to a certain set of art that the disorientation is.... rather extreme x.x

Who else is (trying) to get used to the new art for their attempts at restocking and getting confused?

I swear it's always when I get back into stocking on sites (this happened with another site I was on way back when right as I came back and got back really into the swing of things. I got so lost that I just left for a while and forgot the site existed actually)

That shouldn't happen with subeta and I'm adjusting but having to reset something you've gotten yourself used to for ages takes a bit of getting used to ^.^;

Hahaha me too! I didn't even recognize the salted slug (which changed to the old image as soon as it hit my inventory, thanks cache), and I keep lunging for the new scarabs in the store before realizing oh wait, those aren't actually new!

Sigh. I keep telling myself I will get used to it, but my eyes play tricks on me still.

I suppose we'll get used to it?

Oh I hope so. I'm just wondering how long it'll take and how hard the process will be on the journey XD

I actually keep mentally discounting the scarabs and my biggest worry right now is missing a scarab of the pharaohs (I've been hunting those) now that I'm not expecting the new art!

Just how it goes and at least we'll all get used to it again together. But seriously my eyes just keep sliding past those scarabs and this is not good for restocking (well I only need one of the three but it was hard to notice it in time BEFORE things got all wonky)

My eyeballs are already getting used to the new scarabs, but I swear the new cow tongue made me do a double take and a half-click on the mouse before I recognized it this morning. I'm hoping a few days from now I'll be all acclimated and better about it.

I do like most of the new art, I just kind of wish that everything had gotten revamped at the same time rather than some here, some there. Somehow a sweeping change to everything is easier than the piecemeal approach.

I know, right? It's easier now to tell the scarab types apart but I can't recognize which one is which anymore. xD

Ikr, that happens to me too - especially when I have no idea what has been revamped LOL. I haven't tried any hardcore restocking as of recently but the art certainly manages to fool me sometimes when I do. I really like the art updates though, really draws my attention to some items I never bothered to look at or hoard before.
