I am really appreciative for him gifting it to me, I recently got my license (took 5 years due to anxiety). However, the car is a manual. I can't say I am doing too terribly, but I went driving and honestly I should have started in a parking lot but was rushing to take my bf to buy his new phone he has been waiting for. My gosh. The anxiety I get if I stall at a stop light is too much and doesn't help either and makes me stall more. I am a little put off by it now and kind of scared to drive it. I certainly understand the "bite" and all of it, it's just the execution that is a bit shakey. Tomorrow I plan to practice in a parking lot by myself but a little scared of being in a car alone at the same time as well. (I have a lot of issues >:0 ).

Anyways, if you drive/driven a manual, how did it go for you your first time? Did you feel a bit beaten down at first too? How long until you got used to it? Looking at it now, do you now prefer manual over automatic? Any good advice you can give me? I am a bit curious.

I was always taught that if you can drive a manual, you can literally drive anything. You'll learn. Relax, take your time.

If it helps, I only just got my license two years ago at 23 years old, almost 24, and only because I had to drive my mother around for physical therapy and I wanted to keep driving.
