So I looked through the rules, and I saw that you can't sell/trade/ect. subeta items for off site currency. I play a lot of other pet games where trading from on one website for goods in a other is A-okay. I was just wondering why this isn't the case for Subeta. What is detrimental about cross site selling/trading?

If I had to guess, it was probably originally a rule borrowed from Neopets. But it is a little tricky because staff can't keep track of the full transaction, only the fact that suddenly you're getting a ton of sP and/or items

It also makes it difficult to ensure that people aren't purchasing these items/sp/pets .etc for real money.

Adding onto what said, if a transaction takes place across more than one pet site, but one person decides not to hold up to their end of the bargain, then neither site's staff can step in to rectify the situation. Staff for one site can't look at records and logs for another site, after all.

It's also probably in the site's best interests business-wise to disallow transactions like that, too. It's like how promoting other pet sites isn't allowed; it could draw users away from Subeta, which is a loss not only to the staff's income, but also to our community.

HOWEVER, in addition to what the others have said, writing and art are both still perfectly valid/accepted currency in trade for items.
