Okay so I was thinking about how with the Islander/Pirate shop how the staff are doing it so any item purchased for collections (Plushies/Beanbag/Sticker) goes straight to your collection and books are read to your active pet.
I agree with this completely that this is how it should be for retired currencies such as the Islander/Pirate shop as well as in the future doing it for the Reading Drive and EPICon shops. :)
My idea is this: NPC shops that use seasonal currencies (Candy hearts, vesnali coins, steamworks trinkets/lounge trinkets, new years coins.), when you click to buy an item that goes in a collection you get a prompt saying "Place in collection" or "place in inventory", with the option to click either one. In the case of books a prompt be given "Read to active pet" or "place in inventory". In the case of the Libertine lounge, "Feed item to active pet" or "Place in inventory."
As pointed out to me in the SB when I mentioned this, it reduced the redundancies of having to buy, go to inventory, click item, read/place in collection/feed and do it all over again for multiple items.
Please keep in mind, I am suggesting this only for Seasonal Currency shops, not the Retired Currencies.
What do you guys think?

gave the best explanation as I don't think I explained properly what I was trying to convey. Something like this:

Where you have the option but it will automatically go into your inventory once you buy.

I don't really support this, personally. I prefer to just open all my items in new tabs, then close them and sort items later. It really doesn't seem any easier to me, and then I would have to sort them as I was buying instead of when I felt like it :/
I wouldn't like a prompt since I rarely Duy and feed, read, or add to collections all at once. lt would be much easier to have an option to use on the thanks for buying page
Just to clarify: The retired currency thing -- it's one feature we are doing (the direct to collection). We aren't replacing the shops with that. Like eventually you'll be able to get the wearables, books, etc outside of "direct-to-collection". This is just a thing we are doing right now!
- ah, I just thought it would make it easier on people honestly if they had the option.
I really do like the idea of what you're planning with the island/pirate shops. :)

I mean, I wouldn't use this because I hoard a million things then have to go back and buy the books I need for my pet(s) + I store all my foods in a gallery for later because like, hunger level and stuff, but yea girl this is ace. A++
Yeah, I just wanted to make sure people are aware we aren't just changing those shops to direct to collection haha. We are completing closing them and doing a page for plot/event items with the collection thing (possibly more, people have had good ideas).
I think this would be pretty awesome actually. I'd use it. It would force me to actually DO something with the thousands of books that pile up in my vault. O.o

Might as well make them direct to collection, too, let's do it.
Let's make sure sP has 0 use ever, that'll surely help the inflation of csc c:!
IMO his suggestion devalues sP by making it even more like a scrip. I'm fine with this but I really think devaluing-sP goes against everything staff and many users are going for. Therefore, I don't support it.
You guys need to go back and re-read the post. This is a suggestion for the SEASONAL NPC SHOPS.
It in no way affects sP, anyway...
I support this. c:
- That is not at all what I was trying to say.
The option to put in collection or move to inventory would still give you the chance to sell for a profit. Sarcasm doesn't help anything, if you're not going to give a constructive criticism then don't post.
- As stated above, you would have the option to move to inventory thus giving it value still to sell of you wish.
I'm not saying do this for EVERY shop. Strictly Seasonal Currency shops. A lot of people buy books, stickers, plushies, etc and say "Oh I'll do it later" and then don't. All this would be is an option. Not a one time only option either, you could buy multiples and put them all in your inventory.
And quite frankly, I don't see how my suggestion devalues sP at all. You'd still be able to sell for a profit, there would be no difference except you would be given a choice to add to one of your collections rather than doing 5 things to add to the collection, you'd have a simple one click thing.
When you buy an item from user shops you don't have in your wardrobe, you can click "Add To Wardrobe", and it does. Does that option devalue sP in any shape or form? No. Its just an option.
That is merely all I am suggesting here; to give the option and in some cases it may be a reminder for people or ever help others who may not know that you can do collection items for plushies/beanbags/stickers.

First (to Solsticesprite) is female. She has never claimed to be anything differently. Idk if it was a slip of the finger and missing a t to make it "this" but...yeah.
Also, if you look it doesn't devalue sP. This isn't for ALL shops it is just for SEASONAL ones, and it is just to give you options when you PURCHASE things on where you want them and what you want to do with them.
To be clear, you could still buy ENDLESS amounts and sell them to your hearts content. You can just hit "send to inventory" and then move them to your shop or whatever from there just as usual. It is ONLY for collection items, to give you the option to use them on your pet or put them in your collection and save you time DOWN THE ROAD.
Now tell me. HOW THE HECK DOES THAT DEVALUE SP?
It is like people don't actually READ when they see a suggestion board anymore...

Um no thanks. I like to buy the stuff I want to buy, and THEN I move them to wherever I want to move them. I don't want to have to bother choosing the location after buying every item. And what happens if I close the tab with the page that lists the options?
I think Sexy means for it to be just like buying from a usershop-- if you don't choose where to put it, its automatically in the inventory. This would just save time if you bought a collection item/wearable and wanted to use it right away.
I'm for it.

^^ If this was just like how main/user shops work with prompting you to add to places if you're missing it, I'm literally all about it.
If it worked like this

I would really enjoy it. But honestly if a pop up prompt appeared on each item I bought, I'd be really irritated.
