Just to make this clear, I'm not complaining about how it was moved or anything like that - the mods here do a great job and I can see why it was moved - but I would just like to have notice that it was. I posted a thread about Estemma on the Site Feedback forum and it was moved to the Vensali forum; I went looking in the Site Feedback section to see if anyone had replied, couldn't find it and got really worried that I'd done something horribly wrong and it had been deleted. I'm not trying to appeal the decision or ask for reams of justification or anything. Just a post saying "@myname Moving to other forum" would be enough for me. I don't even need a link.
Sorry if this doesn't make sense or comes across a bit whiny. It's 7am and I've only had one cup of coffee.
Why the fuck was that thread moved to the Vesnali forum?
Support.
I'd like if it did it automatically. Like when you're subscribed to a thread, it just gives you a little alert saying there's a new post? It could just say "Your thread XYZ was moved to forum ABC" and have it linked.
Yeah, this would be nice! I don't even go through the forums, I personally always go through my own 'Recent Topics' link, but I've had threads moved on me before without getting pinged by the mini-mod. I think they should do that anyway, if they're going to move your thread. Some of them do, and I wish they all would.
But yeah, an automatic notice or something would be nice. I know that you have to move it through like a clicky-menu thing, so maybe a code could be added to automatically send a notice to the OP when that's done by a mod or admin?
So a feedback thread, giving feedback about something that happened during vesnali, was moved to the vesnali forum ? Ah, so, they might as well move that feedback thread about the vesnali shop items, to the vesnali forum too right?
Anyway I support this, I've had a thread moved to a different forum without being notified too, and I've gone looking for it where I had created it, and of course, didn't find it. :P
I would support this IF and only IF this were automatic. I move boards ALL the time every day and I cannot remember to ping people all the time x.x Call me crazy or if you want call me lazy. I am just more concentrated on sorting and getting things under control D:

I think this is a no brainer. Support staff (UAs and MMs) should absolutely let the person that created a thread know if it needs to be moved.
Definitely needs to be automatic, there are some forums especially where there are so many topics moved around that it's impossible for the mod to be able to ping all the time :)
That's really weird that your thread was moved. I don't even see a mod post about it. Usually they post to say they're moving it, but I suppose it depends on the mod.
I agree that you should have been told.

Yes, I support this.
