Seriously? Its the last night a lot of us will be able to spend time getting flowers and it's taking 20-40 seconds to load the slots page. Combine that with the errors from the flowers rather than picking them up, and I'm quickly becoming fed up with this event.
Which is a damn shame as for once I want 90% of the items because they are beautiful. But the lag and error is making it impossible to participate.
Ugh. 11 years old. Still can't run events without lag and annoying errors. Come on now.

I thought we were doing okay the first two nights then something happened and it started lagging and hasn't stopped since. I was so hopeful...

We're working (as always) on the lag as the event progresses.

I would love to read and reply to these posts but the loading bars won't go away and I've been waiting 10 minutes. I really hope the posts are something about how there is no lag and things are running smoothly because I need a good laugh after playing slots for an hour to get 3 flowers out of the 50 or so I clicked on.
Basically, I'm now over this event. Shame. Better luck next time, eh?

are you on other tabs browsing Subeta while playing Slots? You can only grab one flower at a time but if you are on separate tabs you might miss it. If you don't notice it and swap to another tab then you can "earn" multiple flowers at once but it will only let you grab the newest. Hope that made sense!

To be fair this lag started like a day or two before Vesnali did, with rolling downpages and whatnot.
Not saying that's understandable/fine/that I'm jerking off staff as I apparently like to do depending on what crybaby you ask-- but I'm just sayin' at least had the decency to start killing itself BEFORE the event so it's not so much the event as it is subeta having a moment.
Do wish it'd stop though because my u-verse is acting the fuck up too with some random outages and I keep not knowing which thing I'm supposed to be mad at, subeta or AT&T :K
i hate to be the odd man out, but aside from day one, the site's been pretty stable for me. sure, maybe running a bit slower than usual, but not enough to get me riled up or anything. by which i mean to say that i'm not sure the lag is necessarily shitty site-wide performance uniformly, so much as it's affecting different people to different degrees. mysteriously. in the way only subeta can.
you've been getting those too??? AT&T needs to step their damn game up, stg.
Yeah it's been slower than usual for me too but most of it's dying took place before the event actually started.
-gargled mad noises- It's been driving me nuts, has it been about a week for you? Not constantly but like 1-3 times a day it just utterly disconnects and I have to reboot my entire system :I... Idkwtf is up with that but I did totally blame subeta the first few times it happened like you crashed so hard you took my home network with you???
i've been getting that for a while now! my little modem just clicks itself off and reboots with no provocation. i'm like on the verge of swapping in my box for a new one because i've been worried that i've got a faulty piece of equipment... but if it's the network? no excuses.
but yeah site-wise that's kind of how it's been for me. the day or two leading up (and the first day) were absolutely chugging (took me forever to finish my BQs when vesnali started), but ever since then things have been up for the most part? not counting the weird quickstock site-down glitch, ofc.
You say that every time too. It's not like events with lots of users on Subeta are a surprise. An event starts, the site lags/crashes, and someone fixes it/spins up new servers/does magic so the site (mostly) works again (it still seems to slow down at certain spots for me.)
It's just that . . . after 11 years, why is it still the same song and dance, the same crash and fix? How the hell is Subeta supposed to grow (I haven't seen 2,000 users online for years) if this happens every event?
nope, trust me, I know the drill with how wonky the floating events are. I had one tab, slots, open. I wish it was my fault I rather than the site just being fucked up, again.

the previous 1-2 events ran smoother (lag-wise) iirc.
Honestly, I think we're all used to the lag. I think what is causing me to be so fed up with it this time around is that I've been battling the lag but haven't gotten any flowers because of the errors/Blank popups for them. Which just means I've wasted my time completely rather than having anything to show for my frustrations.

I'm not even surprised anymore. If an event went 100% smoothly, without any lag or errors at all, I'd be amazed. Massive lag and downtime are as much a part of Subeta events as the currencies, activities, and forums. That's really sad. We hear the same exact "we're working on it" lines year after year and yet its always there. These events aren't a surprise to staff so why are they never prepared?
It took me about 45 minutes of trying to even get to this topic. Lag is nothing new, but this is beyond frustrating.
- Holy crap, I've been having U-verse problems too. I'm on fiber optics, so the first couple of tech visits, they replaced everything that could possibly be hardware related. Kept happening. Mine lasted for about 3 months, couple times a day. Haven't had it in a few days though...Fingers crossed!
The age of a website has nothing to do with its problems, lol, so there's no reason to be insulting about it. There's always going to be lag and errors with any website you come across on the web, even if it's 55 years old. Give them some damn slack, they're doing the best they can to make things work smoothly. I guess I'm the only one here to have been blessed with no lag or errors, because the only ones I've experiences were two or three last night that were fixed immediately and didn't last long enough for it to even be a problem.
You tell the OP to cut them some slack.. the thing is, there are a lot of people that HAVE been cutting this site some slack for literally years. Hence the comment about how old the site is, that's how long the site has had to figure some of this crap out.
