I've been using the zapper to try and get the spider experiment, but it occurred to me - can't the token zapper raise stats, including intelligence? I want to keep the pet's intelligence at zero, so if that's the case I guess I'll need to switch to paying.

In the event that it does raise intelligence, can we still lower stats by kicking the gym vending machine? If I can just have my eventual spider kick the machine a few times to get intelligence back down, that'd be okay.

Thank you for your time. :3

I'm pretty sure it doesn't raise intelligence. Or if it does, I've never had it happen to me. I'm not sure about the gym vending machine question though. That's something I'd like to know too.. so I know to avoid kicking it, haha.

the zapper does not have a chance to add intelligence. and I'm nearly positive that kicking the gym vending machine can't take away any intelligence.

Thank you both! :) I zapped my other experiment a bunch and I thought it might have gotten an INT at some point, but it sounds like I was getting that mixed up with the other stats (or a random increase from the pet's job).

I'm really not sure about kicking the gym vending machine. Several things I've looked up that can give you negative stat boosts do not include intelligence. The leeches, for example, don't have level or intelligence ones. The evil potion doesn't include negative intelligence either. Calvin Blackmoons Clover, may have a chance of decreasing Int, but I'm not positive. Int is definitely treated differently than other stats, so even something that says all stats may not include int.

On another note, make sure you don't give that pet a job (though at 0 Int, it may not qualify for any), since when you collect income Int can randomly go up.

I accidentally read four books to one of my pets that was conceived by me as a Punk Clockwork Orange pet that dint need no edyoocayshun so I did the Gym Vending thing. You need a shoe or a boot that gets destroyed, so imagined him putting it over his head instead of his talons and whacking the machine with his head.

It will (eventually, because it's random) reduce your INT. But it won't reduce any stat below one. Zero is not possible. If you want your pet to keep a low INT it's probably best you don't give it a job because I've gotten INT from being a Beach Comber.
