When you do something wrong, how do you fix the karmic balance? How can you correct your wrongdoings, when the path isn't so clear?
I don't really believe in karma or anything like that, but if I do something wrong then I apologize to the person I've wronged and leave it up to them to forgive me or not. If I can't apologize to a physical person, then I write it off as a mistake that I need to learn from and not repeat.
If you did something that makes you feel bad, you can always do some things to "make up" for it, like donating to a cause you support or doing kind things for strangers/loved ones. However, while it may be hard, it's most important that you forgive yourself, since that's where you'll find the ultimate peace of mind that you need. Even if you can't make reparations in a way that you feel would fix your karma, ruminating on your past indiscretions forever will only make it harder for you to grow as a person and you may find yourself repeating your mistakes (or even going down routes that are worse) in the future.
