I used to have so much free time to be active in the forums here, I mean when people were playing run games so much and so often that you had to make a "claim" post before actually playing along because it was just a constant flow of pings. I made all these friends, that I saw and talked to almost everyday. And then I got busy with highschool and I graduated last year and I come here sometimes in my free time to poke around and it seems so quiet. All of my friends have inactive accounts, and the activity in the forums seems to have really slowed down. I didnt mean to leave without saying goodbye, but no one really checked on me so I guess I didnt hurt any feelings. Though I still sort of wish I could apologize for leaving without a trace and only coming around in very short, spaced out bursts. Maybe Im just being a big baby though, the same thing happened with my IRL friends too. Growing up is kinda unpleasant.
I've been on site 10 years, give or take and eventually you get used to people coming and going. Inevitably, it's the same way once you exit high school and even to a certain extent college. I've lost contact with a number of my old high school friends, and even a lot of my old college friends, but in general the ones you were especially close to will remain your friends though.
People drift apart, and in general come and go throughout your life and it's just something you eventually get used to.
Anywho, hello again. :)
I agree with I've been here for almost ten years myself and I've had friends come & go, even a boyfriend who played semi-regularly. :P That being said, you gotta make the most of what's here -- we aren't traversing an empty desert, after all! If your friends' accounts are inactive, why be surprised that no one asked after you? I've noticed that I can't expect my subeta friends to have the same tastes and interests as my "IRL" friends, but the one thing we do have in common is that we are here on subeta, being little nerds ;)
