I'm new not new...Been around a year or so off and on. Maybe longer? And well I'm kinda shy about chatting in the forums...I generally play in the games and such not and read around the forums, but I never really post much. Never really have much to say and I'm a little worried about being the one that kills a topic by saying something dumb or off topic enough...

So I figured I would just post here and start a conversation, sorta so I don't have to worry about being a thread killer...After all xD can't really kill a topic that never lived right? haha, bad joke...

Hi there! I'm shy too, so don't feel bad. Usually, my interactions are randomly popping in on a topic and then disappearing. I'm not so good at holding a conversation. Small talk will be the death of me. ^^;

I shall try not to do that here, though! triumphant stand But it's 4:30 am where I am.... so I might disappear for a few hours to sleep and stoof. >.>

You know, I honestly was thinking about starting a thread like this (I wouldn't quite say I'm shy, I'm more-so overly awkward). xD My focus is horrid (unless I'm engrossed in a project), my mind is constantly buzzing with multiple things and there are times where I worry about 'having lived under a rock' - due to some social norm's that I'm either unaware of or haven't been quite clarified with me.

Hi hi! I too fall into the awkward realm when it comes to socializing. I used to be a lot more active on forums of other pet sites and adoption sites (Neopets for example) and had quite a few online friends. I'm trying to force myself out of lurker mode and be active again. Btw, what is that adorable dragon in your HA?

Well... you know... I am sure there is little reason to be shy, dear. Knowing myself... I sometimes say things which other people do not agree on, they probably even think I say many dumb things. But hey, we are who we are, right? And so what if 90% dislikes 10% of my posts, the more reason to post something else which they might appreciate a bit more xD

@ Kimaru Do you guys mind sharing some of your hobbies :) To start off, my hobbies are cycling, hiit, walking (especially on the beach), shopping, spending time with friends and family, watching tv series, honey bees, rabbits and probably a few others I forgot to mention.

I'm doing alright - I can understand what you mean, regarding sketches (I've hit a bit of a slump lately with art and every time I've tried to doodle something to force myself back into productivity, I can't find myself liking what I doodled). Hopefully we'll both be able to reach a point soon, where we'll find ourselves liking what we do cause to me, being able to express myself with art is one of the few joy's I have. xD;

Hobbies? Oh by the makers, I don't have as many hobbies as I did back in high school, lol! As of the moment, I spend most of my time sketching, role-playing, logging onto various pet sites to play games and such, watching tv series and movies with my sibling, playing video games (handheld, console and MMO's) and occasional walks around town when the weather is tolerable.

Pffff- lurker mode - that's basically how I've been the past couple of months (here's to the two of us, hopefully breaking that mode).

Ahaa-- man, especially when you bring up memories like being active on neopets (there and gaia online, I used to do a lot of role-playing and art - they were my favorite places to be for the longest while, til gaia became a cash monger and neopets got rid of a lot of neat features, otl).

Erm-- HA?? (I assume you mean the wearable item, pfff) It's called Gold Dragon Egg, its relatively cheap for a dragon themed item (there's a couple other similar ones but I only have it and the red one so far).

Wow, still... I think that are quite some hobbies you have got :P What kind of things do you like to draw and do you have anything to show us?

I like to say, I enjoy drawing a lot of things. xD (Most of them are OC's - characters of mine and special moments from some of the role-play's I've had.) But besides that? I like drawing the strange and unusual - creatures mentioned in lore and myth (I feel like, I inherited this love from my own mother, pfff) as well as anything else that comes from my dreams (and on the rare occasions, my nightmares).

Unfortunately, I don't have anything to show yet - I'm in the middle of a slump and all I have is my old works (which would be too embarrassing to show) xD;; But hopefully, once I get out of it, I'll be posting it up here and on DA.

Great! Those drawings sound really difficult to make, I hope I will see them some day :P My drawings did not go further than a few unprofessional neopets or subeta related images xD

And about something else you mentioned earlier. I really do not have a clear impression of role-playing, is it something like cosplay?

Hey there! Hobbies? Hmm ok. I have lots of dogs (that counts as a hobby, right?), collect toys, movies, reading, art stuffs, video games (I play mostly nintendo but I love games across all consoles along with handheld and a certain mmos), hanging with friends. And the color purple. Yes it is a hobby, perhaps even a way of life. Seriously, if you looked at my HA's wardrobe, it's mostly purple. I'm trying to expand on that.

And Disney, lots of Disney. And yes, I consider Disney a hobby, too.

Aw man, I used to do Gaia, too. I really sucked at making money/points/whatever on that site XD Before neopets starting going downhill, I was trying to work on petpages and designs and the like. That didn't last very long for me, though. Yea. HA = Human Avatar. I'll have to pick up that lil guy. I'm trying to collect as many dragon and dinosaur wearables as possible.

I think animals always count as a hobby see my hobbies relating honey bees and rabbits Is there a reason why you have a lot of dogs, like, are a breeder or something? Do you collect specific toys or how does it work?

Nah, not a breeder. My family just loves animals. We have 6 dogs and a cat (plus a few birds and fish). I collect toys from various fandoms like pokemon, my little pony, toy story, etc. I also have some of the figures from the video games Skylanders and Disney Infinity. Oh! And I have a fair collection of Monster High dolls!

What do you do with bees? I'm quite curious.

Well, I study the behaviour of honey bees for example grooming behaviour, number of pollen they collect, their metabolism, how they develop from egg until their first flight and all that sort of things . But I also do the basic stuff, just what beekeepers do, checking on them, "feeding" them sugar, preparing them for the winter, collecting honey. Advantage of being an animal science student I guess

, I am in the same boat as you when it concerns being shy (and awkward)...I mean, I do have opinions, but I prefer to just stay in the background and 'stalk' the forums, mostly for the same reasons as you.

It's feels a bit weird to be shy on the internet, huh? ^^; Ha ha, but regardless...maybe one thing you could do for conversation starters would be to post interests and the like.

Despite the fact that I think there is little or no reason to be shy for on subeta, I think it is not so weird to feel shy on the internet. Notwithstanding I know no one in person (except for my siblings), there are still things which I prefer not to mention because I am afraid of the responses. Till a certain extent I say what I think, but there are subjects which I try to avoid. Plus I think about my lack of English all time when writing a post, since it clearly is not my native language.

, Yes, I understand that, especially when it comes to subeta, because it that type of site that allows a person to feel more "free". And yes, I also have that fear of responses towards something I say. As a result, I am much more cautious in my actions, such as thinking before I type, or simply just leave, and I definitely try to avoid certain topics. Also, I would have never guessed that English was not your native language.

Hahaha, exactly xD but at my fullest honesty, reading some of your posts and seeing the words you use to make your point gives me an impression of a very nice person. I think that is definitely a pro when posting on the internet So do not let yourself hold back by thinking otherwise, besides you will miss a lot of forum points. I read on your profile something about the Legend of Zelda, that game is my only reason why I always go for the Nintendo in stead of other consolers I love to play that game together with my siblings (unfortunately never the availability for multiple players), too bad they produce a new game once in the x years (I have not touched the Nintendo for a couple of years already, hehe ). What is your favourite game at the moment?

Yep, you read that right. I do love the Legend of Zelda series, because Nintendo is great like that. I usually go about the game solo (mostly because of lack of multiplayer avalibility), but despite that and releases that seem to take forever, those games are so worth it. As for my favorite game at the moment, I am not so certain . >.<; But what about you?

On the wii my sister used the nunchuck and I controlled the wiimote to play Zelda xD And at this moment I love to play The Sims 4 which I also play together with I actually do not like playing games by myself (I am really bad at most games) I just love watching both my sisters playing horror games like Outlast or Amnesia or my brother playing The Evil Within as well But right now I am a bit too busy for playing games I have too much to do for school. Speaking of which, do you recognize it, that when you have lots of homework you just do not know where to start anymore and end up with doing barely anything or just nothing. Or when you are so stressed because of school, you do anything but your homework I think I am in that position, I am not doing my homework, while I forbid myself to do something fun, in the meanwhile I do quests and sorts on subeta So embarrissing
