I 'survived' the way I always do: by having other things to do besides obsess over colorful horses. :P
I did grab the names Party Favor and Sugar Belle as Furcadia screen names today, though. Yay.

I was too occupied with college classes to really suffer from withdrawal symptoms.
That, and waiting on Gravity Falls because holy crud they leave their viewers on a cliff.
Anyway, I enjoyed the introductory episodes. Gotta love the idea of a symbol of a monarchy to trump over the evils of a socialist dictatorship.
In seriousness, though, I liked it. It makes me wonder if Starlight Glimmer will come back another time and get a redemption ep like Trixie or if she'll come back as an even bigger bad.

I watched Equestria Girls - it was a fun little movie and I don't understand the hate from some quarters. But RL has been pretty busy so I didn't get the withdrawal too bad.
I really enjoyed the season opener, there were some interesting concepts and I really liked Starlight Glimmer - I hope they have her as a recurring villain for this season, especially now Discord has been redeemed. It also seemed like Twilight's line deliveries are becoming more regal and soft spoken, a little like Celestia... I wonder where they are going with that.

I was surprised about the theme of the first two episodes...

It was pretty much about brainwashing and joining of a cult. That seems like a heavy theme, imo. I personally am fine with it, obviously, since I'm not 6 years old, but I was surprised none the less. Especially with Fluttershy actually showing interest and support to the cult, which kinda mimics real life followers getting sucked in.
In other news, I didn't like the name Party Favor. idk why but it just bothered me for some reason. I was also bothered by Cheese Sandwich's name in an earlier season. :x
I worked on my OC and just kept the thought of the new season in the back of my mind.
I found the first two episodes very interesting...and I think we will see Starlight Glimmer again, and maybe even the other ponies we met...
I do! My main on Furcadia is Kono. I'm also the head patcher for Equestria's revamp, but we're mostly getting our avatar bases in line and awaiting 32-bit at the moment. MLP:FiM is pretty colorful, after all. :P

but to be on topic, i've been super excited for this season of mlp. i prepared for it by watching the fourth season very late after it came out, so it was like i didn't have to wait as long. and also i watched the two equestria girls movies shortly before it came out o:
i still haven't watched the first and second episodes, yet, but plan to as soon as i get back to my bf's. we watch them together. ;P

haha! i just finished watching episode 4 with him. xD and.... i honestly felt like that episode wasn't even real. mainly because my bf's downloaded version had really, REALLY strange subtitles.
- It was a weird episode, but I understand what they were going for. And, what kind of weird subtitles? XD

By the way, I wonder why there are so many pancakes this season? So, I have dubbed Twilight the Princess of Pancakes, because she seems to love pancakes the most.

Poor pink pony who has been displaced by Twilight, and those florist ponies are hilarious! There is another promo kicking around that has Dr Whooves in it too - he has an English accent and everything.
