Hi, I'm Jo, and I've been getting back into roleplaying, but I've had kind of a slow start, so I'm looking for someone who will be tolerant that I'm still practicing and might be relatively slow to reply. I try to make up for that with my writing, but if you're not okay with waiting at least a few days between replies (to the roleplay) when I have busy periods (which are usually pretty rare), you might want to find someone else. That said, during the times I am online I try to respond quickly within that period, so I tend to get my replies done in bursts. You can always send me a message on whatever communication medium we use and I'll try to get back to you as soon as I see it (which is usually within a day or two at the latest). Aside from roleplaying, I am definitely willing to chat about random things whenever. I just don't always have that creative spark and sometimes I'm busy with school and whatever is going on at home.
I'm 18, but I'd prefer to avoid gore and NSFW stuff. I prefer not to focus only on romance, though that can be worked up to. Most of my original characters and fan-characters are female, but I'm fine with interacting with characters of any gender or orientation. I haven't had much practice playing canon characters, but I might be willing to attempt one if I know them well. I'm not on Subeta as often as I used to be, so I'd prefer to roleplay mainly through Email, Skype, or Deviantart notes. If using Skype I prefer not to video or voice chat, just text, unless we become online BFFs or something (still no video chat, sorry), but that probably won't happen right off the bat. My roleplay style ranges from a couple paragraphs to script style, depending on what my partner wants, though if I get a burst of energy I might go all out. I tend to work with what my partners give me.
Fandoms/Genres I'm interested in roleplaying:
-TF2 (Team Fortress 2) (I have a female spy OC who in some cases masquerades as a male, and a couple other already-made female OCs. I can come up with new characters fairly quickly, since most of the development is done through roleplay or pre-roleplay discussion and brainstorming.)
-Homestuck (I have several fantrolls in various stages of development, as well as an idea for a Land/Quest that is currently not tied to any characters yet. I have a couple fankids as well, though those are less developed. I can also attempt to play as one or more of the canon post-scratch trolls, and maaaaaaybe other characters (though I don't have as much of a feel for others). I have played as Karkat once, though it wasn't a particularly serious scenario that time)
-Portal (OCs, though I could try GLaDOS as long as Wheatley isn't involved(I have nothing against him I just don't think I could roleplay well with him). I've played both 1 and 2, but not the co-op mode just yet, so please don't spoil anything there. With OCs it would be more along the lines of either character guiding the other through the test chambers, or it might take place before GLaDOS took power. We can discuss this and other scenarios as well, but I'm not sure what I'd be up for until the planning stage.)
-Fantasy/Magitech (Think Radiant Historia or something more modern, but with fantasy elements. Cities with technology and magic, involving hierarchy and wizarding/magician politics (like in The Bartimaeus Trilogy). I have a couple characters that fit in this setting that I can tell you about if you're interested.)
-Dolls/"Littles" (little people interacting with or hiding from big people, living dolls, etc. I collect Ball Jointed Dolls so my characters would be heavily based on mine if we went in the doll direction. I'm a bit picky involving this one.)
-Various science fiction scenarios (I have several of these, we can discuss)
Go ahead and send me an Smail if you're interested!
:)
When you say fantasy/magitech, would that include a setting something like Final Fantasy VI?

I'm afraid I've only heard of that game, so I don't know what kind of setting it has.
I was trying to think of how best to describe it, but it's a bit of a genre mutt. No problem though!
