I thought there was a thread somewhere that kept track of some username changes, but I can't seem to find it / haven't been active for quite some time.

I'm updating my art folder and have found that most of the usernames / artist signature names attached to the art no longer exist, and was wondering if there was some kind of resource or thread or anything to help find them. Or if not, is there a better way than googling the name / site:subeta.net & name of artist / search by image? I occasionally get old forum hits to the names I have, but the threads are completely blank, which is super unhelpful. :I

I can make a list and post it here too, if that thread is a figment of my imagination. Thanks!

Try to search for subeta and the old username used like a ping, for example "subeta " - that way I found most of the users I needed to update my art credits for.

thanks for the tip (: I've found a couple so far, although they were all non-subeta sites that showed up with the @ name thing xD I don't think pinging was around when I commissioned most of this art lol. And then I'm still getting blank forums ;u; Such frustration.

I wish subeta ran on user id instead of username ;U Or forwarded people to current usernames like DA. /rantyrant

The forums were moved over to a new server a few months back, and lots of threads were lost. So if your commissions are that old, there's a good chance they were lost somewhere along the way, too :c You could post a list and see if anyone knows who they are now (but I don't know what forum would be best for that sort of thing either).

there's a chance you can find their names from the old forums if they've been around that long, because when you edited anything it would put a small message at the bottom of your post saying that the thread was edited and who it was edited by. If it was by the poster herself and not altered by MiniMod, this message did not change when she changed her name, it was frozen in all time.

To limit your searches for Subeta only "site:subeta.net" without the quotes will limit your search if you use Google.

Thanks for the suggestions guys (: I've been uploading stuff to toyhou.se all day and have been making a list of users I can't find right away, and will try to be more thorough tomorrow lol, can't stand to look at google telling me there are no results anymore.

And yeah, I have no idea where I would be able to post a list of users I can't find, I'd assume help, general, or art discussion, but knowing me, I'm probably wrong. :'D
