Hi! It's been a long while since I did anything other than event stuff or looked at the news on the site. My specialty in restocking is food, but...what happened to the prices?! It takes an eternity to find something I can turn a profit on because the user shop prices are so dead. How do people make sP nowadays?

I quest, mostly. Occasionally I RS, but just whatever's around, I was never really into looking for one good deal. I mostly only make back what I put in, haha, I don't make too much profit on that.

A couple of weeks before Masq, Keith doubled the number of items that restocked "to see what happens". Not surprisingly, values tanked.

So I guess we'll see what happens. I'm a big restocker too and quests are pretty profitable now that most item values are really down.

I sometimes not all the time buy up like something that will retire like sometimes ten or less then resell later -cough- or like when they made achievements of a item i bought some and sold them hehe. I also buy from the crystal shop I'll buy up crystals and try and buy a few items then sell the item later I just made 50m off of 1 item I got lucky. Lastly I will try and play all the games and do the quest even though they get boring.

Well...that explains a lot. I had thought some major sea change had happened while I was out.

Guess I'll go questing then! Are the Wizard Quests and Sagitarius Quests the only ones still profitable or are ALL of them turning a profit now?

Wiz quests are pretty good, Pete's actually pretty good, and Carl's been revamped (a while ago, but if you've been gone for a while you may not know) to be pretty good. Saggi's great right now as probably half of what he asks for is dirt cheap. Quentin's overall probably worth it because he occasionally gives mage amulets that resell for a chunk. Malaria's a tossup. Cynthia's a waste of time still. I really like Library a lot because he gives out items that do resell for quite a lot, but the sP reward isn't super.

Some of the games have been revamped (and depending on how long you've been gone, are new). Caliph's Tomb is pretty quick and profitable.

Cinthia and (for me at least) the Library suck, but the rest are pretty decent if not good. We just had a Saggitarius WSQ so his prices are a little jacked up right now, they've been kind of hit or miss for me

Also, for what it's worth, I'm still making a profit off what I restock but it's more a factor of quantity over quality. I have to buy a lot more to turn the same amount of profit, especially since as you've already noted the profit margin on most items has shrunk pretty dramatically. It's workable if you have a lot of time/motivation to shop.

My main problem is that it takes me so much time to find items in the shops that sell for a profit period, let alone my normal baseline of 2000 sP. Out of 50 items in an NPC shop, maybe two or three give me a profit above 100 sP. It's very frustrating, but I suppose I'll just do quests now for the time being...
