It would be very helpful if there were a 'Go back' button in the Genetech lab after you have created an item. I always feel that just backspacing I will end up with items I don't want selected.

It's not massively important just would be nice and keep the continuity of the site.

Yes, please. I did a bunch of combinations a few weeks ago (for the achievement/to pad my wardrobe and collections) and this was a huge pain in the butt, lol. Especially because I'm dumb and didn't think of any way around it besides "explore -> Darkside -> Genetech" every time.
