I love the fact that you can see if an item you purchased in the SS is in your wardrobe, however I do not like that it lets you know after you have bought the item... (giving you the option to put it in your wardrobe). I think that it would be more beneficial if that indication the item you are buying is already in your wardrobe.... ONLY for the reason of buying the item is to put in your wardrobe, but notifying that the item is in your wardrobe before puchasing it. I won't indicate it's in your shop or gallery or TC or wherever else excluding wardrobe. My suggestion is when you are searching for an item, and it's a wearable item, it will indicate under or above the item image that it's already in your wardrobe. This will save frustration with the sole purpose of buying a wearable item to wear, if you already have it in your wardrobe. I don't know if this has already been suggested before. IF so post the link to the thread. It would be nice to see if there's another thread and a conversation in it.

If you look the item up via account search, I think it checks wardrobe too.

For example I knew I had and when I searched it told me [Quote]1 found in your Wardrobe

1 item found in total![/quote]

I really don't know how practical this feature would be, but if it doesn't strain the server it might be neat.

yah I use that feature sometimes and it's very helpful, but being notified if an item your searching for is already in your wardrobe before buying it, sheesh! saves sp! and frustration! heh. I don't see it putting more strain on the servers considering the account search does the same thing, but more broad spectrum of where an item is your searching for. I figure that puts more strain on the server than a simple notification. I dunno... honestly I dunno if it will put more strain on the servers or not, but for now, this is an idea in my head. :)

Honestly, it would probably be about the same strain on the server since it still has to do an account search (or, at the very least scan your wardrobe). Only it's on a way more often-used page that people often access for quests, so the added lag from having to run a search for an item you don't even want for your wardrobe would just cause added frustration.

Plus then it's just a matter of time before people say "well, we have it for wardrobes so why can't we have it for vault/TCs/collections/etc" and then it does have to run a full account search. No support at all.

I don't think this is something Subeta needs. BUT, if it was to be done, I don't think it would be right to do this for only wearables. Why not for plushies, beanbags, stickers, cards and so on as well?

I don' think I'd get any use out of this feature and account search already does the same thing.

Maybe it's also just me, but I generally know if I already own an item or not? I mean sure there's thousands of wearables on site, but still. If you're not sure just do an account search and problem is solved. Plus that way might save you even more money if you have the item in a gallery or vault and forgot about it and can just move it over at that point.

I see all your points. It would run into a dilemma with the SS showing the item is in other places than your wardrobe. And yah, I see this a redundant feature since we have the account search option. Very good points about that.
