If Maleria stole Shinwa's bracelet, why would she want to even give a piece of it back?

And how come Shinwa only ever sends me to do Library, Wiz, Pete, or Maleria quests? I can understand not sending to Carl as he is on the Omen Islands and cannot be accessed until the map is completed as well as I can understand not being sent to Sarah or Saggi as they have sP restrictions. How come Cinthia, Nori/Mori, and Quentin are not included?

it used to be you gave up the benefits of the quest to get the Shard. For this reason, people would dump her quest if she asked for a quest where the quest grantor would routinely ask for goddess-awfully expensive items. Her sub-quests got more and more limited over the years.

Now that you get quest benefits + shard, there's no reason it's restricted like that anymore that I can tell.

Maleria is not above petty extortion, it appears.

Well I almost never get a quest where I'm asked for expensive stuff anymore, and if I do, depending on the price, I'll risk it since a lot of Shinwa's prizes are worth a good deal of sP.

I do the same because I battle and I use the stat-boosters she gives out. It's still thrifty to do her sub-quest and pay a little more to the quest grantors than I think they will pay be back.

Years ago when her sub-quests were made limited, quests used to be a lot more risky. I remember sometimes having to dump five or six quests, and even then it'd be a loss sometimes. Back in those days a quest grantor would give you twice as many quests than they do nowadays, so this was a doable thing.

Since Mori is all obsessed with darkness and Quentin lives in the graveyard, I can see why they might be aligned with the Maleria and refuse to help Shinwa. I can see why those two wouldn't be included, but Cinthia seems like she would support Shinwa at least, unless she's secretly evil. At the risk of making a suggestion in the help thread, I definitely think Maleria helping Shinwa is weird and I'd be happy to trade her for Cinthia.

Keith did mention lore consistency as a reason for opening skitter's shop to non-zombies, so these kinds of questions actually seem pretty helpful. Since the Subetapedia is getting more attention lately it's probably a really good time to clear up lore things like this.
