I haven't been on here in years, and I come back to see my pet Banished now is Banished_546? Whaaat? I can't stand underscores and numbers :/ how did its name change?

- accounts that are inactive for a year can have the pet names taken by another user. You get left with the underscore in the name, but you can change it for free.

If you're inactive for a year or more, your username and pet names become available for other people to take. But you should have a free name change for each of your pets whose name was taken

It is a bummer, yes, but - before this system was introduced, inactive accounts were wiped away permanently which meant everything was gone. At least this way you keep your account :)
