I see things in the news all the time about get to fragmenting to purchase new items. But, I am so lost on even where to begin on how fragmenting works. Can someone please explain to me how I do this please?
Thank you.

You put any restockable item into the fragmentizer and you have a chance at getting crystals. There's a list around somewhere with a list of what rarities give how many crystals.
Personally I just buy any item under a certain price (price depending on how badly I need crystals at the time), I don't notice a huge difference based on the rarities of items in my inventory when I frag them either way.
The fragmentizer is located here.
In order to use the fragmentizer, you need to have items that are between rarity 1 and 99 (that's items that restock in the main shops and does NOT include anything like retired items, Melody items, token shop items, etc.) in your inventory. You select which items you want to fragmentize, and there's a chance of gaining a Humming Power Crystal from fragmentizing an item! The chances of getting a crystal is based on the rarity of the item. If an item is rare (rarity 66 to 85), you are guaranteed a crystal. If an item is super rare (rarity 86 to 99), you are guaranteed at least one crystal and have a possibility of receiving a second crystal. Anything less than "rare" is not guaranteed to give you a crystal. The crystals are then used as currency in the Crystal Bank and used to purchase items in the Crystal Shop.
I hope this helps! Let me know if there's anything you need explained further. :)
That helped a bunch. I thought only certain items could be fragmentized at one point but this clears it up. Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

You're very welcome! Glad I could be of assistance. 😊
I've found that, on average, items of rarity 1-65 give you crystals about 1/3 of the time. So if you fragmentize 100 R1-65 items you should get around 33 crystals.
