so i'm going off to college kinda soon (weird!!) and i have a bunch of old sketchbooks that i never filled completely. i'd love to actually... use them....... but i already get sketchbooks from my art class at school and summer is not nearly enough time to fill up, like, six quarter-to-half-full sketchbooks.

that's where freebies come in!! i get to draw stuff i wouldn't normally, and you get free doodles! my scanner isn't the best, but i have photo editing software and enough know-how that they will at least look scanned and not like i took photos of them with my laptop webcam.

a sorta bad example is this, which i screwed myself over on by drawing with super light pencil and then scanning in color. won't be making THAT mistake again (unless i decide to use color??)

BUT...yeah! i draw mostly humans (more examples here) but i have been known to attempt animals/those in-between. just toss stuff at me and we'll see what happens, eh?

Maxwell Thomas - He's a post-grad med-student in his late 20's. He's become a sworn pacifist as a member of the Hospitallers, though he was always reluctant to cause harm. He's a kind and gentle man with a gift for healing. This is him. He has a patch sewn on the shoulders of his lab coat.

Jareth Sadi - In his mid/late teens, this kid is perpetually a bit grimy. He tends to slouch, or at least not stand at his full height, a habit gained from working in the coal mines where he grew up. He has unnaturally good luck, and is fairly friendly. This is Jareth.

Sini - This fierce fighter is most at home in the heat of the land where she grew up, a fire-and lava-filled location in shifting plane that is home to lesser elemental spirits. She uses flame and electricity, as well as one or two katana which she can channel magic through as well as use for physical attacks. Her people revel in combat, and tests of strength are normal. Fighting skill and power earn respect, and debts are always repaid. In fact, debts usually are not incurred without the payment agreed upon in advance. Sini as a HA and as one of my drawings.

Wyatt - A nekomimi male, he works for his mother, the head of a highly magical area called simply the Zone. It's a dangerous place, with rampant magic and mutated creatures, as well as radioactivity and dangerous magical storms that come without much warning. The natural light has a purple cast there, leading to the use of purple camo which would be ineffective elsewhere. He wields a revolver with magical artifacts, as well as a sabre whose blade can ignite with purple flames. He is highly ranked in his mother's organization, but he doesn't let it get to his head, and keeps good relations with both peers and underlings. He gets along well with the majority of the staff, aided by his training as a negotiator. Wyatt with gun, Wyatt with sabre, and as one of my drawings.

Rhiannon Teiph - I don't have a pic for her yet. She's a half-elf half-raccoon, ending up looking like a red panda kimonomimi in her mid-20s, with primarily elven features but a striped tail and a distinctive "mask" coloration on the skin of her face. Her eyes are blue, and her long, curly hair natural red, matching the fur of her tail. She's a decent musician, playing several instruments including lap harp, flute, piano, and cello. She's an avatar for the goddess of flame, and so has powerful fire magic. She's a woman with a strong personality, with an intensity to her that matches the fire inside. She's not classically pretty, but she does have a certain beauty that comes with strength and self-confidence, the "inner light" sort of thing. She shows her emotions openly, and cares a great deal for "her" people -- both the elven community where she grew up, and the fire elementals that are loyal to her goddess.

My HA is open for use. :) She doesn't have to be all fancy-dressed, though. I realize she's kinda intricate clothing wise.
