I love that there is no limit on how much we sell to the Pawn Shop but at the same time I feel it is getting very full. Might it be an idea to "empty" i.e. delete all the items in the Pawn Shop maybe once a month? It would certainly make the empty pawn shop achievement more possible and maybe help make some of the super cheap (100 sP and under) items a more decent price.

Good idea? Bad idea? Additions? Amendments?

It would be cool to know how many items were in the pawn shop. Would it be good it have a total items tally like we can have in our user shops?

People have cleared the pawn shop ([userDanteAmaya] organized the shit out of that) on their own before, and I'm pretty sure they're almost cleared again.

Deleting it once a month would take the the achievement for emptying the Pawn from something worth while to collect an achievement at this time every month.

[Edit] Are we looking at the same pawn shop? You're post kind of made it seemvlike it was packed, but looking at the shop it is literally 1 page of items (compared to the 10 or 20 I saw the previous group tackle)

I have been trying for this achievement since the new year and have sunk quite a few million sp into it. I would just like if it said in ? marks how many of that one item is stocked. So ? be for anything under 10. ?? 10-99 ??? 100-999 .etc that way I know how roughly how many times I must painfully go change the item number by 1 to buy out that single item

I feel like once a month would be way too frequent and that any challenge would be taken away. No support.

I support anything that makes achievements easy to get tbh

(I actually got the Empty Pawn Shop achievement around the day it was released -- as soon as I saw the announcement I went to check the Pawn Shop and it happened to be empty at the time, lol. Didn't imagine it would turn out to be so hard to get!)

it actually had 20 pages at the end of January and there is a forum topic in achievements that has been clearing it consistently since. Basically it took over a month to clear out those 20 pages.

Yeah, that sounds about right! I know it gets pretty high, but I still don't think the staff should clear it out to make the achievement easier (tbh: I really don't understand why it was made an achievement in the first place but :o)

personally I could see maybe the site clearing out the oldest half of items once a month or capping the amount of each item that can be in stock so every month if there was say anything over 25 of any given item all the copies over 25 would be deleted.

But that would eliminate the majority of the stock because once people don't work to clear it, items tend to stack in the hundreds. Leaving it to clear were the item is only 25 max is yeah easier for us, but at the same time when the recycle beast asks for something in the pawn shop, it makes it not as useful.

Like aside from the ? mark items in stock I would like to see, I would also like it where the amount the pawn shop guy gives you per item decreases as that particular item reaches certain tiers in stocked. As of right now it is what like 20% less than what the shop price would be if you sell it to the pawn guy? The pawnshop would decrease the money made selling to him by 5% based on the 50, 100, 150 tier of it being in stock. Therefore causing people to be less inclined to pawn and maybe more inclined to frag which makes you more money anyways.

No way! The achievement is meant to be harder to get. If people want it they should help clear it.

I agree with because that would make the achievement far easier to get if it was done monthly. Again I am spending millions to do this and I would be bummed if they made it now a hell of a lot easier. Plus as stated people need to work together to clear it out creating a nice social aspect to it.

Do not support. Kind of a slap in the face for the people that have made huge group efforts to clear it in the past.

Considering I helped out last time on clearing the pawn out, no to staff clearing it out regularly. I was the one who removed all of the crazy high priced retired holiday items back when the shop prices went crazy again and dropped the retired pawn items from like 100k to under 1k. lol I still have all that crap too. Only because I forgot I did. I also think I was the one to figure out the url number trick as well.

The only thing I would support is just letting us know many of a danged item is in there. Seriously. I said the last time outside of a group trying to clear it I really doubt anyone would want to buy out an item selling for 5k+ when it's not even 2k in usershops. And if they do for some reason, like say the RB asks for an item, more power to them. The pawn becomes a bit of a sp sink then. I've noticed the items in the pawn still priced for more than usershops even when the RB asks for them. I really doubt showing us would be a game breaker.

I would say no no no ! I spent 30 million helping to empty that shop the first time around to get the achievement. It would be a real kick in the face to everyone who helped "Clear the Pawn Shop" if suddenly it became that easy to get the achievement.
