I'm bored when I'm not working and I really miss writing/developing my characters, so I'm looking for a few people to roleplay with via sMail or to create a group RP with. I have several OC's who you can read about below. I can roleplay both males and females but am not looking for anything sexual or romantic because I have a boyfriend. I prefer my partners to be semi-literate, though I have no preference on response length.

I might be interested in doing an apocalypse RP, if you are still up for that.

Interested in almost everything in your general genres! Like the above post says I'm intrigued that you're also not after romance or sex sort of stuff, because I'm not after either of those either.

I'd consider myself literate, and whilst I could churn up 1000 words per post writers block can unfortunately hit me very easily if I were to do such. Thus, post lengths are likely to fluctuate - I don't tend to do one liners (not including script based rps done in chat rooms, but these are mostly warmups).

A group RP sounds wonderful, and I'd like to be a part of it if this were the case. However, I'd also like a sort of post order or something of the sort (perhaps a bit more lax) as I tend to quickly drop out of RPs that leave me behind when I've went to sleep for like 5 hours, as I'm not always at the PC.

I also come to the table with a small plot idea, which may or may not be used, but I liked the idea enough and decided to share it. It's new (having been sparked by this thread) and all, though, so there's not much to it yet.

Basically, it's a tad AU to our world, in a way - magic is real. Gifted humans/mutants have always been a thing in human history - for the written period, at least. 'Mages' weren't particularly common around the middle ages, but they still existed in large amounts - lots of different schools, branches, whatever. War-mages, warlocks, necromancers, all of that cool stuff. (think something akin to WoW or DND - though these mages and warlocks and all of that were in probability just gifted humans!). Now factoring in the salem witch hunts, which could still happen... and it could potentially spring to an all out war.

In one universe, the 'warriors' and 'humans' succeed. Life becomes 'normal'. Gifted humans are kept as secrets. Shamed. Prisoners of the government.

But in the universe of this idea - the gifted humans win. Humans without powers or mutations become the 'minority' (Though, really, they still outnumber the gifted humans in numbers) and become second class citizens, or slaves, or something of the sort.

Past that I haven't really developed the idea yet, but weh.

I only tend to RP females. I'm not sure why. I've just not been too good at any males I have played. (Minus one or two, but they wouldn't be suitable for the RPs yet).

Oh fantastic! It's a bit hard to find people who don't want some sort of romance so I'm glad you took a look at this thread. I was beginning to think nobody would respond to it!

Yes, I am ALWAYS up for an apocalypse RP. Did you have a certain plot in mind, or a certain character you wanted to use? Amanda is my apocalypse character.

Awesome! And I don't really have a particular plot in mind. Do you? If not, I might have a few stored away "in the vault" as it were -- ones I came up with years ago that I could dust off. One involves zombies and one does not.

I do not have a character yet, as I usually make them up for each roleplay once I know some more specific info about it. I would definitely be a male character, though, if that is okay. I'm best at RPing males. You mention your character Amanda. Do you have a page describing her? Sorry if I missed it.

EDIT: I've been brainstorming some characters today and I have two in mind. I was going to decide between them, but I love them both and think they'd play off each other well. I might keep both, if that is okay. Both are men in their 30's. I will edit their details depending on the plot/setting that we decide on.

I don't have a particular plot in mind. I did have one once where there was an apocalypse and the characters traveled and fought through the Subeta world but that didn't last. :P If you want to bring up one of those old plots it would be fine with me, if not then we can come up with something.

I don't have a page describing Amanda but this is what she looks like. I'm more into original characters that I've had people draw for me but this is one of those rare occasions. Her name is Amanda Teegan. She's 23, human, bisexual. She's kind of a floater so her background and stuff changes for each RP I play her in.

I don't mind at all if you play a male! So are you going to play two characters in the RP then?

Ok. None of my old plots are particularly impressive, in retrospect. One is a bit over-dramatic and the other is kinda silly. Why don't we come up with something together? To start, what kind of apocalypse did you have in mind? Does it involve zombies? Corrupt governments? Natural disasters? War? Would you prefer the plot to take place before/during the apocalypse, or post-apocalypse? Does this take place in the future?

Oh, thanks. I think I just missed your link to her picture in the first post. ^///^ And I used to have several "floater" characters like you describe, who I would adjust to fit in any RP I did. I was so attached to them.

I was considering playing both of the characters I mentioned, but I am not sure. Maybe I should start with the one and see how it goes. I spent a lot of time today building one of them, so maybe I'll start with him. I've got a full character skeleton for him (more or less), though I can make some changes to his occupation and the like depending on the plot we choose.
