SO I reeeeeally wanted to to go but someone didnt actually sign up in time to go with me and so I can't go and I didn't get a badge BUT HERE'S THE THiNG I love Monster High and was wondering if I could bribe someone to be open to getting any SDDC exclusive content for me, while I pay for the items and shipping of course C:
Come chat about if you're excited or if you're willing to let me bribe you into buying me thiiiiiings ❤
Not me, sorry but that sounds epic! Wish you could go.
Our Lair is proof you don't have to stand face to face to know you've got friends who stand with you when you need us.

haha it does sound so fun xD one of these days I'll manage now I'll plan a disney trip instead xD
I usually go every other year or so and meet up with friends living downtown but none of us got tickets this year. XD
I'm a native SDiegan.
You and me both! As far as wanting to go to SDCC, not Monster High. Though I will admit that those dolls are pretty neat looking. I collect Funko Pop stuff and they always have cool ones at comic cons. I will make it there one day, I hope.
I sure wish I could go! I have never been to anything like that, not a trek meet, not comi-con... did go to something small for D&D in Tel Aviv once. Orson Scott Card had been there, but not when I was. Do you have to go with someone? Can you go by yourself?
I wish I could go but I could probably never afford it and I live on the other side of the country. I would want to meet some actors. In fact, I probably wouldn't even wear underwear because they would keep falling off for Norman Reedus, Andrew Lincoln, John Barrowman (yes, I know he is gay. No, I do not care. My panties would still fall off for him), Misha Collins, Jeremy Renner, and etc.
It's actually really hard to get into the Supernatural panel. That's one of the panels that's usually in Hall H, and people sleep outside the night before for that panel.
As for John Barrowman, he came by last year( he was signing autographs on the floor) and I remember seeing him, but he's not actually going to this year's comic-con from the looks of it.
Also, I've been to comic-con by myself. -km
Most of the time I go alone and then meet up with friends at the con since a lot of my friends live downtown or they're coming in from LA/San Fran and I'm in SD County and a good 45 minutes or so by car away from them. It's just easier to meet up at the con then have the hassle of them driving down and then driving all the way up.
I've also been alone, for the most part once when I went with my brother and he spent the entire time upstairs trying to have his portfolio shown. That time, I didn't meet up with any friends and pretty much didn't see my brother at all except for at the end of the day during con days so I was pretty much going it alone all 4 days.
If it's your first time, it might be better to go with someone because it can be pretty overwhelming, but otherwise, it's actually pretty fun going it alone.
Badges to that event are super hard to get, i really doubt many people on here got them. I wasted two hours of my day trying to get badges. But it was my first year trying. There are some people out there that have tried 5 years in a row and still haven't gotten badges. But I do hope someone on here is going and willing to help you.
I'm sure it's really hard to get in most of the panels, esp The Walking Dead.
That's really cool John walked through and signed autographs. He appears to be a great guy. And from my understanding, he is like Captain Jack. He hits on anyone he finds attractive.
Since I don't even live near San Diego, I'm going to my local one (there will be John Barrowman, Jason Momoa, Karen Gillan etc) and so far, I'm not remotely excited. I'll order my ticket if I see someone interesting. I missed Stephen Amell last year (still bitter about it).
I remember waiting in the "waiting room" for friends and I managed to grab a pass 2 years ago. So yeah .. it's hardcore.
It was actually at a booth. Most celebrity autographs at comic-con are through a drawing so it's extremely hard to get the more popular ones because it's a luck of the draw type deal as to whether or not you get a ticket for an autograph signing or not.
I remember people waiting at the crack of dawn to pick up one of those tickets for some random popular celebrity autograph.
As for comic-con. I've managed to get a ticket most years within the last couple years. I went last year, but only did a Friday-Saturday pass because I was kind of conned out. I've been to comic-con off and on since I was 16-17 or so, so it wasn't necessarily something I was missing if I didn't go all four days.
This year, the tickets sold out a lot faster than last year and even from previous years. I think local news said they sold out in an hour this time. Generally, if you want to get tickets, expect to be awake right when the waiting room opens and even then it's not necessarily guaranteed that you'll get tickets. I've managed to get into the waiting room and get tickets most of the last couple years, by staying up until the waiting room opened and then getting on right as the ticket process opened. It's intense, but I wasn't able to get any tickets this year and neither were any of my friends.
The big panels in Hall H are usually Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Doctor Who( though not this year I believe nor was it there last year), and Supernatural.
Supernatural is usually at like 9 am on the last day of the con and it's usually the first panel in Hall H for that day and it's always packed, mostly because most of the people who are at the panel slept overnight to get in. So, if you arrive at say 8-9 am and expect to get in, chances are you won't. If you get there at like 3-4 am then you'll probably get in though. They don't empty out the rooms between panels so it's pretty common for people to stay several panels to get into a big major panel.
