I just found out that one person spoiled things and complained about giveaways happening in the SB. It ruins things for everyone. Is there a way that there could be a few guidelines/rules put in place as to what could be allowed so that these can be allowed back again, please? :/

In what way are giveaways banned? I mean, the basic concept of a giveaway doesn't restrict anyone, I don't think. All you need to do is look out for who is in the shoutbox and then give items to whoever you want, right? I thought giveaway-like things had always been banned by being classified as advertising, though. Either way, you clearly have no problem using the forums. We have a designated subforum for giveaways. If other SB regulars are too timid to use the forums then it's unfortunate to be them if they don't want to utilize all the features Subeta has to offer. All the means to hold a giveaway are on site. I honestly don't think a passive aggressive topic trying to simultaneously blame someone and offer a subpar suggestion is necessary.

I'd rather see time being spent thinking up ideas on other parts of the site than on constantly rewriting the SB rules, as this isn't the first topic I've seen requesting a change in them for something, that I consider, trivial.

Yes, we totally need people to beg for giveaways and whine about getting nothing in the SB

apparently due to someone complaining about a certain giveaway being done, all quickie contests where someone asks a question and the first person to answer correctly wins the item and similar little quick giceaways/contests aren't allowed anymore :/

all those quick little giveaways really clogged up the sb box with people spamming their answers hoping to be fast enough to win. the thought behind the concept is nice, but it's totally reasonable to want to keep that stuff out of the sb and on the forums.

People haven't been able to roleplay in the SB for years, the logic is that there is a place on the forums for that to be done,s o people can and should use it.

There is a forum for giveaways. Use that.
