A Nostalgic Bhakoru Instructions, a Nostalgic Bhakoru Toy, or a Miracle Potion II are items that can make a pet that already exists into a Bhakoru. If you didn't want Nostalgic you can then use a color potion on your pet.

Loyalty Potion Totem cannot change specie, just color.

it is correct that the totem is irrelevant. I see now that I used the conjunction "and" ambiguously. I will edit that.

Instructions can be used to make a Toy, but at cost. I hadn't checked the market nor do I know the average cost of a Vanya quest, so I do not know which is cheaper, so I mentioned both.
