I heard and I got kind of teary eyed. I couldn't believe it. I still can't. R.I.P.

I'm 'old enough' that I used to watch Star Trek with my dad as a child, and Spock was always my favorite character; he was my first Sci-Fi crush, as far as a little kid can crush on older people. Grew up idolizing the man for his acting, and his artistic nature. I was shocked and saddened to hear he had been hospitalized earlier this week. I'm absolutely broken knowing he is gone.

He died peacefully at home; that is all one can ever hope to have when their time comes: peaceful, and in a comfortable place. So for that, I am thankful, as I am sure his family is thankful.

His last Tweet as shows that he likely knew that his time was growing short. - A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP

He has gone on now; to the stars, and may he be there to greet those of us who idolized him when we too pass on, to show us adventures, and to 'boldly go'.

Got teary eyed here too, sad news indeed :(

Death is a logical conclusion to life, Mr Spock, but you will still be missed by many.

My heart is broken at this news. I heard it from my dad when I was getting off of work, and I was crushed. Now I want to go watch all the Star Trek episodes, but I know I'll start crying anytime Spock comes on.
