If you were involved in Nutsy's Nefarious Nights, you'll know that WS3 (working title: Shadows over Bordertown) is a combination mash of traditional high fantasy (gimme those elves) and Firefly (yep, the TV series for all of you who are not Browncoats.)

Besides proving that I truly am nuts and love a creation challenge, this combo idea made for a LOT of excitement, and even more smails, including one suggestion made so frequently it has to be done.

So here we go....

NO, we are not starting yet, and there will be NO pre-events. We will start at the regular time after Vesnali and when classes let out for a lot of you. Thanks to 's fabulous tracking of Subeta events, it seems we will overlap North Quest very little, if at all, and be clear of any Subeta events. (I am probably taunting a few ancient gods here. :D )

However, I do need to see a show of hands for how many folks I have aboard for this to start building around it, and also to start amassing prizes. Please let me know if you are with us OR think you might be. No final decisions are needed yet, but I do need some sort of idea.

Now, as to the smails and the big requests:

There will be TWO ways to play. You may choose to be an Adventurer or a Traveler.

1. Adventurer: The whole magilla, if you will. regular time limits, mind-bending puzzles, more HAs, and lots of RP. This will seem like the other WS journeys if you've played before. This mode has the most points attached, but the going is tougher and the deadlines are shorter.

2. Traveler: The more "casual" journey for those who want a slower pace. Less challenges, more opportunities for expanded RPs, longer deadlines, easier puzzles, less HAs. It's a perfect mode for those of you who were worried about not having enough time to play this year, or who just want a relaxed pace. I got a LOT of requests for this mode, and I'm happy to oblige, but be aware it will have less points attached.

Your team can play one or the other mode, but you cannot split within a team. Your whole team plays the same mode!

This will change some team dynamics, so here's another new innovation based on feedback as well:

There is NO limit to the number of players on a team!

Reason needs to be applied carefully here, folks. If you shorten yourselves down to two or three, it may not go well for you with the variety of challenges in a WS adventure.

On the other hand, group dynamics can be tricky, and turning yourselves into Super Junior or the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is probably not so wise either.

Grabbing that other wonderful teammate that came aboard for Nutsy, though? I'd say go for it.

No big decisions need to be made right now. You have lots of time. This is just a rollcall and mode preference check. Please let me know below if you're in, so we can get the group straightened out.

I want adventurer, but I will yield to the majority.

I'm not certain on either as I know my ability with puzzels is limited. Hm.

How long would the deadlines be? In the sense of a ball park figure. Just so we have a rough idea of what to expect time wise for each mode?

I sadly won't be part of the active and RP side of things this year, as I had mentioned to my teammates last year, but I hope all of you are still in this year.

And for all involved, I have gotten an artist for the first of hopefully many amazing items to submit for exclusive release to WS members. And let me tell you, this first one is gonna knock your socks off!!

I will be away from the 9th of July till the 6th of August... I assume that's also a period of when the RP is going on right ?
