Not sure if there's a CW-specific help board, but I was wondering: is there a way to tell/know if a particular CW is a private item? I've just come back from a huge long hiatus and found out about "private" CWs, and I'm not sure quite what that means or how to know if a CW I want to buy is "private".

The only way is to ask people, since private/non-private CWs isn't something supported by staff. There's this thread in CW discussions that I think would be the best place to ask about that sort of thing.

sometimes private items end up in the Pawn Shop anyways, so look there. Also sometimes helpful is to look in Karissa's thread in the HA Forum, or to google the item, her threadname (which escapes me right now) and subeta.net. Often folks in that thread will ask if somethings available or private.
