I thought it would be nice to get a thread going wherein we could keep track of our goals and support each others' progress. Post whatever it is you want to accomplish, and drop by with an update in whatever time interval pleases you! Think of some specific motivations, quotas, or rewards if that helps you. Achieving things can be really hard, so I hope this can provide us with a space to also vent our frustrations with the safety of mutual support. Maybe with pictures of baby goats!!!!!

I personally want to track my long-term study habits. I tend to be ambitious when it comes to independent study, but I think I get overwhelmed with short-term tasks and put off the more in-depth research. I've gotten better--last spring I wrote an article that's gotten some positive attention, and that I'm now presenting at a judged academic conference. This semester I'm working on TWO papers that both look very promising, and I want to do even better on both. This means more discipline and better habits!
Accountability for me: In the pre-writing phase, I want a gradual start, maybe clocking in 4-5 hours of reading and mind-mapping per week. I'll check in weekly at least, though maybe every couple of days.
What are you working on?
When I clicked on your thread I thought you meant we should share our Subeta goals haha. But in real life my goal right now is saving up to get a car. I really want a mini cooper. So I'm thinking if I can put like 10grand down and then have less payments to pay. The ones in my area are only like $15-$20 grand so it shouldn't be too bad.
