So, I took my freshly progressed Blistered Hearts skin off, intending to infect myself with the strain I had many years ago, Boobitis. Except, not even a minute after I took the skin off someone bit me and I am not having to go through the Blistered Hearts infection all over again. Can it be changed so that we can't be infected with zombie strains that we technically already have ? Either by the site detecting it, or by making us automatically listed as a no-bite participant when we remove our skin ?
EDIT: The old cure worked and I can now be bitten by the one I want. But my suggestion still stands.
Wow, that's bullshit. Like I know there aren't cures available and stuff but that's complete crap :l
Isnt there a quit option for zombification now?
There is for newer zombies. Or ones that haven't been bitten yet. I don't know which, but it's not showing up for me.
I would have thought someone who hadn't yet picked a virus choice would default to "no biting". Only those who have actually picked "I would like to have any strain" should be available to be bitten by anyone. Kind of surprised to find that isn't the case.
Support!
I would think it would automatically place people under the "no bite" zone, but evidently not.
I paid for the Bindi Bite late last night, and when I got on this morning,I was in the beginning stages of Butterfly Bruise again.I just went ahead and bought the cure, then picked a different virus because I have some RL errands to take care of.But, I've lost the Sp I spent for the Bindi Bite.So I support this.
Like a good neighbor, stay over there!

The cure works for us ? I thought I read that there was no more cure. I am so sorry that had happened to you !
I still think this is some kind of glitch or error, or nobody had considered this problem yet. So, I also support this and hope this is brought to people's attention.
I think it's because once you claim the skin, you don't lose what you paid for on the VIP page. You still have to click that you changed your mind and go back. But it's ridiculous that you would have to keep two tabs open to change your skin, and immediately refresh and opt out just in case someone decides to bite you. I know bites are hard to come by, but seriously
It is bogus we have to do that. I was lucky I was able to cure and click the opt out option in time this time. It seriously was MAYBE 30 seconds before I had been bitten the first try.
i think the last time i saw it was when i choose the free option at VIP. i too dont see it now (not that i want to change).
The issue is that even when you finish your zombie virus and take it off, when you GO to the VIP page, for some reason it still acts like you are trying to get the same virus, and below, in the buttons you press to sign up for a specific virus, the one you picked before is still lit up green, as if you're trying to get that virus again.
They should make it so it doesn't do that, then it will be normal.
For example: I finished my Love Bug, I switched to "none" skin in the wardrobe, when I visited the VIP page it gave me the option of "nevermind I don't want to be infected!" which is odd. When I scrolled down I saw that Love Bug was still lit up green. I pressed the "nevermind" button and it warned me about no refunds, blah blah, but after that I wasn't at risk to get Love Bug again.
It's weird and dumb and probably not intentional. (Possibly an oversight/something not well tested)
