Why does Skitters make us wait before taking our money?

More realistically, why does Keith make us wait to dump our money in to oblivion? I thought gold sinks were something staff was super interested in doing, so WHY is there a wait for the shop that is constantly, infinitely stocked and that takes sP? Lamour Parlor, maybe I can understand. But Skitters?

I did not know about that. I suppose that makes sense. I do really truly it gets removed again. I want to buy things, but I hate waiting. I'm dumb and I always forget what I got already.

I wish they would at least add an alert for it. I keep forgetting to buy from Skitters and it sucks...not only for me but in the end also for the site because the best money sink is no money sink if no one remembers to sink their money in it.

Personally I'm loving the wait time, because it means the purchases don't glitch out for me and double up I only really want one of each item.

I really don't mind the timer but what I do mind is that the timer sometimes says I have 30 seconds left and after I buy something then it says I still have 1 minute left. That's the only thing that annoys me. (Aw, timer, no).

I love that the reason behind the timer is because users literal kill the site by bumrushing the shop (and any other shop with a timer, presumably) and trying to buy everything at once.

We literally dedicate the site to death and have to be forcefully restrained because of it. That's beautiful to me.

That said timers are annoying when they're random times and there's no alert option. It would be spectacular if we could have a flatmate timer (like 5 minutes) or if we could set an alert. My attention span is wee and at this rate it's going to take me like a year to buy another entire set of books okay.

lmao I'm glad I'm not the only one who has the attention span of... SQUIRREL! Gods, I still have after all these years to actually buy the book sets from 2010 onwards to read to my battle pets! I kept putting it off because of the timer.

When the timer was removed I was ready to go on a spending spree. Unfortunately I totally forgot and now I'm back at having to buy with an annoying timer. If the timer won't be removed again then maybe with an alert I could finally remember. I wouldn't count on it really. My memory apparently is not very good. XD

I would prefer a consistent timer too. 1 minute seems long enough to me tbh. It's annoying having to buy with the timer, but I understand why we need to have one. I'd just like it to be shorter, and not random times.

this wait time is insane. i have spent over 3 hrs just trying to get everything from the newest year shop. i cringe at the idea of trying to get all the other years too... :/ i have other things to do besides sit with my thumb up my butt waiting out a 2 minute - 4 minute timer.

I wish it would be changed to a flat rate. 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, whatever. I understand why we have to have it, but it's frustrating to get multiple five minute waits in a row, then multiple 1 minute waits, and then back to five. It's like, why can't it just be one or two minutes every time?

Plus, I don't have all day to hang out online buying Skitters items. Most people don't. I feel like I should be able to buy all the books without spending six hours at it, and right now that ain't happening.

It kinda backfires though because I have a lot of things I want to get - but I don't have the patience to spend hours getting them. I'd rather just keep my money and forget they exist. Kanye Shrug

A 5 second timer would be sufficient. No double buying. It's consistent. It's easy to keep track of.

I agree with . I understand the need to keep people from just buying hundreds of items (sort of, I mean, they're only hurting themselves cause there's no way they'd be able to sell at a profit when there are THAT many items in game, but I guess it lags the site), but 5 seconds would be plenty. As hinted at, I DO have to/want to buy all the items from all years and I just... I'm only half way through the 2010 shop. (I did already buy all the 2015 items, before the released the older shops.) I don't know what the wait time is, I assumed it was 5 minutes, but I guess not? I dunno. Either way, at this rate I'll be surprised if I manage to buy everything I want from all the shops before the end of Survival.

Will the shops stay open? Like, if I stay infected...? I /really/ hope so. Even so, pls2reducewaittime.

Thank you, ~ I really appreciate the change <3 I was just preparing to spend the next few hours going through and buying things every few minutes but it's really nice being able to just go through and buy everything all at once, more or less.
