Please... you got rid of it last year and it was gone right up till Survival's start... can you please get rid of it again. I can understand putting it up for at least the first few days but now that the shop is fully open to everyone why have a timer? Thank you. [edit] Alright if we can't be rid of it then at least drop it to under 1 minute per purchase please?

Yeah it's pretty silly to have, doesn't really make any sense.

Keith posted this in the news comments but didn't really elaborate why.

Considering it is a pure sP sink, I really think the timer should go. Let us make it rain on Skitters.

The timer is there to keep the site from crashing when people rush in to buy thousands of items at once.

Maybe it could be shortened (down to 10-15 seconds maybe?), but I think it's completely justified.

Hmm well ok if that's the case then it's fine, I never thought of that being a reason. Hmm yeah a shorter timer would be nice, like how we have a 5 second rule in main shops, obviously not drop it THAT low but yeah.

I don't think we need a timer in the zombie den anymore. Who's going to hold the refresh button and buy hundreds of the same things at once? Those things are well over 1k each. Also, it's already nighttime now and hours since they reopened with the older items, so I don't believe there will be a rush like a token shop.

I assumed it was to prevent people from getting double purchases of items (even though it doesn't really make sense to stick a timer on one shop for that but hey).

But I never had a problem with double purchases so I would love the timer to be gone

I agree. The timer is unnessary.

They put a timer in the snowball fight to prevent the refreshing problem, yes? So why don't they put the same amount of time on the Zombie Den timer?

Erm, that was because people were autorefreshing to buy and throw snowballs for the achievement and it was crashing the site. I high doubt people are going to run and autorefresh to buy millions of one item.

The timer doesn't need to be as long as it is. And considering the shop is open year round, there isn't an issue of people buying up items to sell for a profit in a few months (like what is the case with Alegarten). Reducing the timer to something like 10seconds isn't going to make the site crash. Unless they plan on removing the timer after the event, I really doubt this is going to be a super awesome sP sink because how often are people going to remember to go buy shit, esp without an alert?

"The timer is unfortunately there to stay 😞" Would you like to elaborate on this?

I mean, someone on this very board suggested that avoiding people buying thousands of items at once is why the timer is in place, so? Clearly we're on the same page here, so I don't really understand your incredulity towards my statement.

I believe meant multiple people rushing in to buy multiple (different) items at once. ( Idk correct me if I'm wrong) But even so, unless they're buying the same item over and over and over again (which, again, is highly unlikely) they're going to have to go back to the Den, find the shop year they want, the item they want, and buy again. That's a good couple seconds. It's not different than buying from a normal shop.

Whereas the snowball timer was meant to stop people from autorefreshing on the same page. That timer was five minutes.

Why not put that same time amount? Because it's unnecessary. There isn't a five minute timer on any other event shop, so this should be no different. :)

The timer in the snowball fight was not 5 minutes by the middle of the fight, I believe it was 15 or 30 seconds.

??? I don't think they reduced the timer for buying at all? Unless you are referring to the non-bulk option, which I don't think anyone used. :x

I don't mind the timers honestly, but PLEASE OH PLEASE all I want is a countdown timer, like where the buffs are or something. I'm tired of guessing when one/two/three minutes is up and I can kiss/buy something again. That would make a massive difference to me.

I used it, before the bulk thing was implemented. Perhaps that's what I'm thinking of.

Either way, I meant a 15-30 second wait, not at all a 5 minute wait.

Okay, phew. I was gonna say... I don't have time to wait 5 minutes to buy everything. That was a hassle for Alegarten. 15-30 seconds isn't bad. Though I feel like 5 seconds would be sufficient, because that's the timer for every other shop on site, and it works.
