I think it would be nice/very helpful to be able to search by stats, like 50+ or 100+ in health or something. Or maybe by level? That might be easier to code?
I just think it would be really great to be able to see the stats on pets in Adopt R Us at all without having to look at each one individually. Maybe just adding even the level underneath each pet or something? I mean there are less than 400 pets in the center, so I guess it's sort of feasible to look at each pet individually, but it's so tedious!
- Do people even abandon that many pets with good stats?
And if it's a pet with only 100 levels or less, that doesn't take long to train yourself, so adopting a pet like that doesn't give you that much of a boost.

Well I adopted Fairy last night after just recently coming back to the site a few hours earlier (nobody has messaged me to claim it, so I guess it was on purpose). If it takes more than a couple days to stat the pet, I think it's certainly a decent boost. It's better than nothing at all. Especially if a newbie could snag one, it would be a great boost to them.
I'd much rather see an option to sort by male, female, or genderless wayyy before an option to sort by stats.
Plus like... gosh, train your pets yourself. :x
I don't think enough pets with high stats just get dropped to warrant a new search feature. If you have the time and energy to surf the pound and check out all the pets' stats because you want an easy way to get a Tier 2 pet, go for it.
Plenty of people on the Adoption Center forum post when they're giving up pets with any sort of stats. That being said, it takes less than a month to train a pet up to stats around 100 in str, def, etc.
Like , I would much rather see a feature that lets users sort by gender. Or a way to sort out pets with numbers or weird characters in their names. Or a "Recently Abandoned" section, for people who surf the AC regularly and just want to see the more recent additions.
I think "some" sort of search features would be nice. Even just name starts with _, contains ___, contains # characters etc. I wouldn't mind a search by creation date either, buuut that's cause I like pets with the 1969 creation date bug. Of course there probably just isn't enough demand to justify this. People will endlessly search through anyhow and grab all the good ones and post the leftovers on some thread :P.
Would be good to search by species or color too. Most of the pets there have basic stats anyways, although you have a chance to find better stats with non-colorfill colored pets.
Good names and special birthdays are priceless though. You can always easily train a pet to 100 stats and beyond.
Uhhhh....you mean like this?
Anyways - by stats I really don't think enough pets get dropped off with good stats for it to warrant a search function. So congrats to you for the awesome snag. I am quite jealous of the name actually. For the most part you'd be better off taking 500 CSC to autotrain a pet with a good name than to take a AC pet with any stats and change the name.
Dates would be kinda cool tho.
Oh yes. Haha, silly me I must be colorblind and missed that brown link. Thanks for the heads up :)
yep, was totally and utterly unaware of that XD thanks for letting me know
I wouldn't like the idea of the stats being that important for the adoption center, but I think putting the level under a pet would help you a lot. If some people are lucky enough to find popular characters name in the pound, why shouldn't others have it easier with starter battle pets? I'm all for training your own pet, but this would only give you a headstart if you're lucky enough.
But what I came here to post is that I used to own (and inevitably pound) Fairy. I just kept on training her secondarily, I had no attachment to her stats and someday (months ago) just gave up on owning several pets. I only own a second pet now because it's more convenient to me.
I didn't pound her yesterday and I only snagged her name last year, but I still hope you have fun with her. ^__^
