So I go to the place where you can pick all the different infections, but are they all the same? Or do they give me different skins? If so, does anyone have a chart of what each one looks like?

They're different, and no staff aren't showing previews "for a reason" according to Keith on the news comments. But you can look at the old strains here and try to decide which one will be which if you want one
