So at what point would speed really no longer be a factor for me? I was thinking 3000 but I'm not really sure.
2600 speed ago

At this point, probably 3001. At that point, many higher tier weapons will start activating their secondary effects more often. It may be a good idea to not rush to that point and let things like essences/tomes or Oracle quests take care of the rest of the speed.

at 0 speed
cool thanks :) I probly should've just poked you lol. I knew I needed to have it higher than what I currently have, but couldn't remember what stat point. I've been using exp from bq or just putting Wravens in training--been kinda lazy with her lately.
5555 speed ;)

Is speed really so useless? Pacifist has about 1350, I've been training pretty evenly, should I stop and save my sP for other training?
bird and bear and hare and fish give my love her fondest wish
2500-3001, I am doing what did and only training speed with boosters that boost other stats like tomes
If your goal is to be able to kick butt and take names of every single challenger, then what-kills-Prodigy is the question.
I trained my capped pet evenly, because I wanted an evenly trained pet. With her 5500 she can freeze Prodigy nice and pretty with a Shriek of Despair scroll every single turn. Magentawhimsy never gets critted.
My other T12 pet also evenly trained (again, for no good or specific battling reason, just because I want to) has only a 60-70% success rate vs Prodigy. Her speed is 3500. On those turns when the freeze scrolls runs out, she doesn't get critted, but does get nailed more often with Prodigy's special attacks, IMO>
It seems likely given the way that Prodigy does damage, that just having a buttload of HP and overhealing each turn can work as long as you have some freeze protection chocked in.
speaking as someone aiming for 2500 speed at my final build, i have to say my low speed stat has yet to hinder me. while kolja might (i couldn't tell you definitely) take more crits than the average pet at his stat range, his bulky hp is able to absorb the damage for the most part (and his percentage healers heal higher). i'm at 2450 right now, and i've stopped training speed a long time ago. boosters and oracle are the only ways my pet gets speed points now
a lot of battlers go for about 3000 or even higher, but i'm choosing to spend that 500 extra points in HP where i feel they'd better benefit me. ultimately, the choice is yours, depending on the sort of build you're looking for :)
